I feel it gets warm. I just installed System Tuner Pro and set up the widget for monitoring the temp. I will report later.

Use your finger to swipe downwards from the top of the screen. This will show you the notifications. It should tell you what the triangle is for. Or any other notifications.

About the heat issue.

On idle (ie left untouched for about 5 mins), the reading shows 42C when I unlock the screen.

It suddenly shows a jump to 50+ C, up to 60C which is the current highest I've seen, and the CPU is at 1.49 to 1.7GHz, even 2.2GHz when I was just using the stock browser.

I suspect the ROM may have an incorrectly calibrated governor.

Good thing is it cools down very quickly. It seems to idle at 1.19GHz.

Now I'm just doing homescreen scrolling and it jumps to 2.26GHz and 53C.....

Bad governor.

Should be fixable via update. Root and custom kernels......well until they solve the SELinux issue...

That's hot, but some Intel Chips are rated up to 120°C based on the stepping and the power dissipation.

I cannot believe that this stepping of S800 sux that badly....and it's supposed to be a cool operations chip. Heat dissipation cannot be this high.

I can only suspect it's the governor firing everything at once every time.
