i'm interested in getting a 1.8 manual.

unfortunately i couldn't find any showroom that offers test drive anymore.

can anyone here share some thoughts on a few questions that i have

1) is 1.8 underpower when compared to 2.0?

2) fuel consumption. how far can a full tank go?

3) clutch. How does the inspira clutch feels like? is it same like myvi? or iswara?
(so far i have driven manual myvi & iswara)
Thanks

After seeing your BLM issue, I don't think Inspira is suitable for you. I have a BLM too and I dare say the BLM interior
is better put together in terms of panel fittings than Inspira.

Inspira is a rattlebox.

I will recommended Inspira for people who enjoy opening up/fixing stuff, DIY people.

i thought of giving proton a second chance since inspira is based on mitsubishi design.

a lot people told me with about same amount money can get a entry vios/city/almera

but i think inspira would be fun to drive when compare to those boring cars

too sad of hear that proton quality still as poor as before.

thanks for your advice anyhow

Great piece of advice!!

Because the badge is proton.. Lolz
The glove box was from mitsubishi.. Imported.. The rattling inheritted from evo x...
So as the B pillars..

Mitsu was never the top players of quality in the first place..

Thou must admit the main trim was made by hicom that one rattle.. DIY fixed it d..

I strongly suggest to go for vios...

I wouldn't blame Proton on the quality of Inspira. Most of the problems do also happen on Lancers.
The misfit interior panels/ A pillar-body squeaks etc are inherited from Lancer.

It's fun to drive, but not fun when your passengers mock your car.

Go for Sylphy. A bit more than Inspira 2.0P. Very very comfortable and quiet.

Err bro, my inspira didn't give me any problem, I got one saga flx se 1.6 , quality build to date no issue, and no rattle sound, please don't mislead new buyer. My car been brining me whole peninsula msia, due to job requirement. Serving me with comfort and reliability. Not to mock city or vious, I find inspira space is spacious, compare those two

I am getting my 2.0E next week. Been waiting for 2 months because some issue with Proton did not want to issue the car to Dealer. From 7.8k rebate and now changed to 6k rebate with Yes 4G package. I still prefer cash rebate. Sigh.

Vios and Inspira is different class of car. 1.5 and 2.0.

Of course 1.5 is saver petrol and how good of 2.0 FC is still 2.0. It is not apple to apple compare.

I have Vios and City at home but now I want bigger Cc and more powerful car. It is depends what do you want. Some ppl just go for brand. 2 of my sisters can't believe that I go for Proton car for my wife. We all know what is the QC of Proton which something we already knew the facts. But the QC of the Toyota and Honda also dropped a lot as compared with last time. When I got the new camry 3 years ago and started to have weird sounds after 3 months, an almost 200k car has this kind of issue. You can say I am unlucky also.

I have a big family and have many cars at home.

rattle is a wrong word to use.

creaks.

random creaks from the interior.

yours no creak at all?

my dash garnish emits creaks all the time
a 'tak' sound out of the blue when driving on uneven roads.
squeaks from passenger side A pillar/ dash

Mostly fixed now, but this shouldn't be the case for a new car. A flagship model.

The Proton's CEO mentioned before that we assembled so many cars yearly and how to perform QC on every car. I can't remember when did he say it but he did say it before.

It is like that for a reason. The CEO also said like this publicly. I know this is should not happen to a new car but sorry to say it happen all the time. Unless the sound is too loud can hear it clearly. You need to be patient to fix it slowly by yourself.

If you complain to SC and standard reply that you need to leave your car in the SC for a few days for checking. After that they will tell u no problem and return your car with the same problem.

lol am in the same situation as you are. however yes i get to test drive members' cars so my exp:

1) not at all, it is a manual after all. compared to 4g1x iswara, inspira has almost double (compared to 4g13 manual or 4g15 auto) the horse power smile.gif

3) driven iswara manual before (not my car though) and the feel is similar. the only thing is the improved nvh so it can be a bit harder to feel the clutch biting initially not to mention the throttle lag so you *MAY* stall the car upon your first few tries (i know i did lolz)
