QUOTE(k!nex @ Nov 4 2013, 10:12 PM) U whack your car is it?? First 1000km is quite thirsty. After you service first time should be ok. My car is 45k mileage. A second hand car.I'm getting 12.6km/L average for a full tank City Driving. Today the instrument meter shows 14.6km/L driving at 7am from Sungai Buloh to Sunway via LDP And i do notice tht the throttle delay can reduce with drop-in KNN air filter That 12L/100km was city driving, including jams la, and occasional spurt of speed. But like jnick said, that meter might not accurate. Yesterday, night city driving, with some traffic and some clear highway from cheras to KL, I got 10L/100km on the meter. Good improvement when using the 5th gear a bit more. 12-14km/L... Wow, I really want that kind of fc. Mine is manual.. I assume the CVt is more fuel efficient. =) I will consider the KNN drop in filter. But hesitant the oil might dirty the O2 sensor. Haha Can the O2 sensor be cleaned easily? QUOTE(jnick @ Nov 4 2013, 10:28 PM) His car more than the mileage d. Thanks! I will take note. Secondly, fc very subjective. Don't use the meter reading as std. Route and traffic make the difference. Btw plz use full tank vs mileage u clock until next pump calculation. Thank you. Next time I refuel, I will calculate the proper way. But still I feel a bit high fc. Yesterday got 10km/L on that meter. Maybe it is because of my 18" low profile tires. Edit: 225/40R18. From my calculation, it is slightly bigger than the stock tire. That could be reason for the off calculation.. Maybe. This post has been edited by win44: Nov 5 2013, 11:21 AM |

I believe its about time for me to service the car. Especially if it has been running on semi syth, instead of fully synth oil.
I saw this: http://www.inspiraclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12230 Is this the mitsu oil for our lancer? |

QUOTE(win44 @ Nov 5 2013, 11:16 AM) My car is 45k mileage. A second hand car. CVT is not really more fuel efficient. More or less the same only depending on your foot. If highway higher speed cruising is true. Coz 5MT is having 3000rpm at 110km/h. CVT 3000rpm is 140km/h already if i remember correctly. That 12L/100km was city driving, including jams la, and occasional spurt of speed. But like jnick said, that meter might not accurate. Yesterday, night city driving, with some traffic and some clear highway from cheras to KL, I got 10L/100km on the meter. Good improvement when using the 5th gear a bit more. 12-14km/L... I driving 5MT also but i clocked only 3000+km only so far. Control your foot and change gear early. The ECU is self-learning. It will learn your driving characteristics. If you stay below 3k rpm all the time, your fuel consumption will improve. I change gear around 2.5~2.7k rpm. That explains the fc. And i got help from a pro here who help me remap the ECU, there is a difference . Since you're using 18 inch tyre. Your high fc comes from the rim weight mostly. 18inch if taiwan ones are heavy. I'm using the stock 16 inch. Plus ur tyres are alot wider thus more rolling resistance. This post has been edited by k!nex: Nov 5 2013, 02:56 PM |
