We're gonna adopt a kitten soon. Just got her cage. She'll be staying with my bf and he has two adult dogs... got some great bonding advice from crazymouse but any additional advice is much appreciated. What are they things I should get to keep a kitty indoors and communally with dogs and er.. loads of other pets?

your critters will not be safe from kitty behaviour unless you keep them safe somewhere where kitty cannot get at them. but it depends on individual animals, but majority of cats will have instinct to kacau critters. i dunno about Ts herps and hermits but the SG and other small furry friends might be too great a temptation. just keep an eye on kitty as she grows. hope she might get used to it but you never know hehehe

my neighbour's persian mix kitties are always on the wait to pounce on their hammies and RES. they climb all the way up the tops of bookshelves where that's the last place they can think of to put those poor things. So there's not much you can do to hide a big collection of critters unless you shift them all into a room and shut the door so kitty can't get in.

Just make sure that your kitty won't go and play with Amy Rose, curiosity kills the cat!! hahahahaha...

as for the Ts and all. should be alright.. they're in a room. can just close the door... now... wht to do if the kitty kacau the snake?

ohhh nice kitty are your snakes in cages or in tanks? i don't think kitty would want to mess with snakes loh

Watch your kitty when its in the same room with any animals smaller than it is, hehe...I've heard many nightmare stories regarding cats and other little pets.

If she's a kitty then it should be easier to bond with the dogs than an adult cat., i think...

yeah??? why ah? my dogs kill cats so I have nothing to say.. andrew's dog... too fat to chase after cat....

then the cat is safe living with andrew's dog lor hehehe...
kitties are probably safer chances bcos they do not respond like adult cats do when they see dogs like hissing, scratching...

oh... good like tht... my Trimmy so timid... won't kacau the dogs.. I hope.. I'll try to get pics of her tomorrow!! eek!!! *excited*

Can get ppl to help to trim ma... my friend have like > 30 cats and > 20 dogs for generations. She have "condominium" built for her cats and dogs in a bungalow land Now talk about bonding, all 50+ animals live together in the land.

I"m bringing Trimmy home tomorrow!! yay!!! living with me for a few days first... will post pics of her later

yup, we're getting a litter box. just got all the sand stuff... hee hee

as for food, I think I"ll continue what the foster mom is feeding. Seems to work very very well with shedding probs that cats have.

Cute kitty, hehe... cuddly cuddly..I bought one box of cat litter to use for the tray underneath my rabbit cage.. it helps kill the smell..after 1 year I have not finished it yet, lol....

eck... her current litter sucks. so stinky of JAsmine (no offence ). Anyway... she's been a real good girl today.. follow go kai kai.. took nap with us... she didn't like Combi (dog) though. Combi was afraid of her. lol. Stevie (cat killer) wasn't too bad with his response. Tremmie and Nikki (Dog) was alright too. And uh.. Patrick (snake) and Tremmie wasn't too bad either. will post pics later.

oh yeah, apparently she hisses at my dog because he jumps or stands up. she doesn't like tht. today me, andrew, Trimmie and Combi (dog) took nap together. Tremmie and Combi facing each other then after waking up, combi sniff sniff tremmie... all was good until combi jumped and got hissed at again.

Tremmie went to her daddy's house already.. I won't get to see her til saturday
