i see the need in airforce & navy procurement..this 2 needs to be beefing up really quick

& plus the need for marine capability (as imma not a fan of dedicated so-called Malaysia Marines..the best is if we can have marine capabilities within those in Para Briged & selected others so no need special dedicated Marines)

I doubt that the RMAF MMRCA will be announced in 2014.

If there is an annoucement, most probably after the 2015 LIMA.

believe it or not the yanks did offered us F-16s back in the nineties. we are even in the frame as panavia tornado potential customers (b4 we decided to buy MiG-29N and F/A-18D)

then RMAF change to Hawk

Because Saudi warn us about the effort needed to took care of the plane and so RMAF decide they needed a tougher bird thus the Hawk
