Hi guys,

I'm planning to get a 4121 to hook up with my DVD player and my PS2 (direct connect, w/o amps). What do you guys think?? Recommended or not???

To all VS4121 owners,

Does your VS4121 come with the Y-Connector??? I bought my unit solely to connect it to my PS2 unit, but the box content does not consist of a Y-Connector eventhough it is stated on the box itself and also the user manual. I have confronted the shop I bought it from and their supplier but I'm told that not a single distributor in Malaysia will supply the Y-Connector with the VS4121. Which means that the information stated in the user manual and box contradicts???? Please advice.

I hooked up my VS4121 to my PS2, DVD player (JVC NS-412 model) and also my MP3 player. Sound quality no compromise actually for all of them. Sounds just as good as when i watch it using my laptop. It's probably your DVD player I guess. I even tried original Black Hawk Down DVD on it and the clarity of the vocals in the movie is more than acceptable.

Maybe my noob hearing can't really tell the difference in sound quality when my VS4121 is connected to my PS2, DVD player, MP3 player and laptop. But I'm pretty sure that the difference is not significant up to the point where vocals from movie sucks or the conversations from Ratchet and Clank on PS2 is unclear. I could be wrong due to my noobness.

Hi all, I have a AL ACS295. The problem with my unit is that there is some pop and crackling sound coming out from the woofer now. And it is gradually getting louder and worse. I've opened up the PCBA to check for cold solder joints but they all seem fine. All caps look OK. Lost about what to do with it. Anybody has some ideas about fixing it or is there anyone who can fix it for me in Penang area? Either that or I'll just sell it off to any enthusiast who wants to keep it as collection. Bloody good speakers though and it has served me for more than 11 years.
