i just asked EA autoworks about Viofo and it seems they no longer sell it anymore

guess I'll just buy myself online which is cheaper anyway

I called them few months back too.
They told me they only concentrating on Korean brands, and the cheapest dual cam is definitely above 1k

Hi Sicurez does provide installation services?

They do, but with additional charges.

I’ve an issue here. I tried tapping into several fuse but the problem comes when my car’s idle auto start stop kicks in. Everytime when my engine restart after the traffic light, the camera will flicker and the camera restarts.

Anyone has this issue and how did u overcome it?

Edit: when I plug into ciggy port, it works perfectly.

Happens on the Mini 0906 when I forgot to switch-off the iStop mode for my Mazda CX-5

i am looking for front and rear dashcam second car, planning take either Viofo A129  or Thinkware F200, which one is better? Need parking mode

F200 rear camera only 720 and price much higher compare to Viofo, i am using F770 so much confident on Thinkware, not sure Viofo quality & durability
*
Viofo A129 2-Ch has been out of stock at Sicurez for about a month already.
I'm also considering between these 2 to replace my Mini 0906

.....
Heard stock arriving next Friday in Sicurez
Sicurez is authorized distributor for Viofo. The advantage is the 1 year 1-on-1 exchange warranty. Lazada sellers some don't have any warranty or maybe 6 months only. Only the price is lower a bit than Sicurez.
....
Good to hear that.
Sicurez also provide installation for their dashcam, which is quite useful especially for the 2 channels with hardwire kit.

When I bought my Mini 0906 2-ch from Lazada, it only comes with 6-mth warranty and have to find own installer to install the hardwire kit.
After warranty expired, starts giving me problem by intermittent on and off.
So prefer to buy from local supplier that can provide installation and warranty

Still not so understand.. Pre buffering meaning it record 10 sec after triggered motion /vibration right?
Viofo motion work how? It only take pic when triggered motion without recording or 10sec?
So F200 better than iroad? Seems both price similar rite?
*
It will record, say 5 or 10 seconds before impact, etc.
For Viofo, it will only start recording during impact, so you have no idea how the accident happens.
That’s why Korean DVR true parking mode is superior to Chinese DVR.

iRoad X9 funtions are superior than F200, as F200 is the cheaper range of Thinkware. The similarly specced Thinkware to X9 is F800 Pro, but it costs about 2k while X9 is less than 1.5k.
But the build qualiy of iRoad is still below Thinkware and Blackvue

Actually, the F800 Pro is a higher range and has more functions than the iRoad X9.

The F200 is Thinkware's low-range to cater to the budget conscious.

If you want to compare the iRoad X9 to Thinkware then I would say it's a little bit beneath the X550 (Thinkware's mid-range) as the X550 has an extra feature, Smart Camera Alert which works in Malaysia since last year October/November.

Even the iRoad TX9 with its 3K QHD resolution, I would put it at the same level as the F770 more.

But I've tested the TX9's ADAS and it's almost as accurate as Thinkware's. I didn't like the proprietary file format, JDR, that iRoad uses. Only can watch the files using their own player or app. And some other stuffs.

Anyway, iRoad in Korea is considered to be a "budget" dashcam in the Korean market.
*
Thanks for the correction.
One thing that keep me away from iRoad is the proprietary file format, but the lower price range over Thinkware and Blackvue is quite a plus point.
Quite a numbers of Mazda CX-5 owners installed X9 as it is priced in between China DVR (Viofo, Mini 0906, etc) and Korean DVR (Thinkware, Blackvue) but still get the superior Korean DVR true parking mode.

Thanks, Is there any other shops KL who sells and install this other than sicurez?
*
If you're in Klang, I know Shorty5 shop sell and do the installation for F200.
There's another shop in PJ, but I can't remember that also sell and install F200.

You can try searching for these shops in FB too

..... See who has stolen your car emblem(s). Scratched your car on purpose. Etc etc...

True enough.
Few months back there was a viral video on FB where one girl attempted to steal HRV rear emblem.
Her action was captured by F800 Pro rear cam and her car plate no. was clearly visible in the video.

what happened to the girl? hrv owner managed to find her and ask for compensation? the police will sure open case with evidence from the footage?

these thoughts running in my head in comparing the needs for 'true' (buffered) parking mode vs normal/time lapse parking mode.
*
I believed the F800 Pro parking mode is activated because of motion detection of the lady walking and standing behind the car.
IIRC, a friend of the lady recognized her and her car plate number, apologized in advanced on behalf of her and arranged a meeting between the owner and the lady.
Not long after the owner took down the video footage from FB.
Maybe some sort of private settlement between the 2 parties

how much accessories shop usually charge for installation of dashcam? front and rear.
*
Depends on your car.
SUV or MPV normally RM150-250, while sedan should be cheaper, RM100-150 or so.
Those freelancers might charge you cheaper if you know where to find them

Sedans are easy to install. Can DIY.

SUV/MPV are a real headache for the rear cam.

Indeed.
Took 2 technicians to install and successfully hide the rear cam cable of Mini 0906 on my CX-5

If you have the budget, you can consider Viofo 129. It has front and back also and you can also but the cabling kit to connect to fuse for parking mode. You can contact one of the reseller in Malaysia, I forgot the name.  (try searching here as it was mentioned before). Price with installation is around 1.2k including installation. Quality is good but parking mode is not as good as Thinkware or BlackVue.

Sicurez is the official distributor for Viofo in Malaysia.
They are also the dealer for Thinkware dashcam.

They can also do the installation, but at additional charges.
