QUOTE(blurjoey @ Jan 20 2019, 10:12 PM) True parking mode. Have motion/crash detection with pre-buffering. Most China dashcam is without pre-buffering and can miss what happened a few seconds before the triggers. low range 1k+ for parking mode is what brand? ddpai and viofo? The only China dashcam that at the moment is getting there to Korean true parking mode is Viofo. Low range is 1k+ to 3k... DR750S I've tried Samsung Evo Plus and no issues. Netac Pro also. For F800 Pro, best to use their own Thinkware cards. Got some say Transcend 400X works. FYI their cards are OEM by Lexar, I think the Lexar Pro 1800X is a match for the Thinkware cards. Dual cam mode? (front rear) Viofo with those motion meaning is parking mode? i see cost only around 5xx in shopee This post has been edited by eddie2020: Jan 26 2019, 05:52 PM |

QUOTE(wilson1234 @ Jan 25 2019, 07:31 PM) this seems nice. wifi, capacitor, 4k, night vision etc. Junsun. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Junsun-4K-U...sAbTest=ae803_5 QUOTE(Max @ Jan 25 2019, 10:47 PM) QUOTE(wilson1234 @ Jan 25 2019, 11:16 PM) just got the model number. Its Junsun S590. Tempting to try Real 4K is 3840 x 2160.Seems like shopee and lazada selling it as well. https://shopee.com.my/New-Arrival-4K-Car-Ca...4537.1769974944 https://www.lazada.com.my/products/junsun-w...9SDMXJ&search=1 2880 x 2160 @ 24fps is not a real 4K cam. Most are resized or interpolated. OV4869 is not a real 4K sensor. Always check what chipsets and sensor used. And real 4K dashcams won't cost below rm500. Read more here: https://actioncamguides.com/real-or-fake-4k...o-you-identify/ The only dashcams that is true 4K is Blackvue DR900S and the coming soon Thinkware F900 or Q900. Lowest true parking mode you can find is Thinkware F200 which I think it's about rm1.3k+-. iRoad also can but not sure if their quality is fixed or not as heard lots of warranty claims due to faulty units. |

QUOTE(eddie2020 @ Jan 27 2019, 02:05 AM) I think what he means is in a true parking mode, the cam sort of goes to sleep when not triggered. When it detects motions or the vibration hits the trigger level, it starts recording and the video clip is stored with time starting from T-10 seconds or depends on the manufacturer, instead of starting from T.This helps to identify the culprit more effectively. So there is a buffer of 10s in this case. If the motion/vibration is not triggered, this buffer will not be recorded in the SD card. My ancient Blackvue DR400-HD had this function when I bought it in 2010 or 2011, so the Koreans do have an early start. |

It said got motion detector when I read the description of the product haha, so I thought it have the option you mentioned above Motion detector functions as we know it. For example, if a lighting is equipped with motion detector, it lights up when it detects motion. That's it. It does not light up 10 seconds before you trigger to detector.I don't have a Viofo so I do not know for sure whether it has buffer or not. |

But they are getting close...The best true parking mode dashcams are from Korea like Blackvue, Thinkware, etc... |

I received the xiaoyi dashcam as my christmas present.
1920x1080p @ 30fps 1920x1080p @ 60fps 2304x1296p @ 30fps Which setting should I actually go for? I tried 2304x1296p @ 30fps but couldn't really see the number plate clearly. |
