You can get the A129 for front and rear. Then a Yi Home 720p cam for cabin.

For the A129, do you route the rear cables on the right (driver) side of the car, or the left (passenger)?

Currently, I route my A119 ciggie power cable to the left (passenger) side, so I am currently thinking to route both the rear and ciggie power cable to the left (passenger) side as well.
*
You can route on either side. Whichever is more convenient and cable length dependent. Though it's advised to route through the passenger side, just incase sudden falling cables..don't distract the driver.

Hey guys, not sure if this has been asked before (read through the last 15 pages didn’t find any), for those who have have the 8 inch dark tint place at the top of the windscreen, how do you place your dashcam? Below the tint or on top of the tint (but cut out around the dashcam lens) ? Basically I wanted to add the top tint to reduce glare but now my dashcam is there.

Saw this post with lithium batteries taken out of mini0806 dashcams...

Still want to use lithium batteries dashcams?

[attachmentid=9891454]
A normal battery on the left. A bloated battery on the right.
*
Haha.. Reminds me of my Nokia or Sagem phone days.. At least then one could just pop the cover and replace with a new one.. All is well afterwards..

Anyone compared F800 pro with blackvue DR 750s? Im in dilemma between this 2
*
Bluejoey already did review both cams.. You should invest some time to check those out, if you haven't already. Easier to decide then.

Would a 32GB memory card enough for the Viofo A119? And is there a need to get a high speed one?
*
Yes, it's enough. However, for longetivity period, it's advisable to go for at least 64GB. Cuz this will last longer as the card undergoes less frequent read and writes. Plus more storage space.

Hi bro, may I know if there are different versions of B1W? Coz the prices in Lazada is ranging from RM160 to RM230, quite a big gap. Is it save to just buy the cheapest one? Just in case there are any imitation ones out there  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

https://www.lazada.com.my/catalog/?q=b1w+ca....787e654dWXk5uD

Thanks
*
They should all be the same version.. Buy from whichever platform and seller you are most comfortable with.. Lazada is just a selling platform, not the seller.

Which cam can be dismantle easily? Scare someone will break glass and steal the cam
*
You can consider Viofo's as it uses GPS mount to stick on the screen. Main unit then slides in and latches to that. Cable position is unaffected too, cuz the cable is connected to the separate GPS mount and not the main device itself. Probably same for any other dashcams with separate GPS/power module.

Actually most dashcams can take down easily from the mount.

Only drswback that it will get loose if take down and put back up too much.

I prefer to go with discreet design so no need to take down.
*
Yeah.. Going with discreet designs and or just leaving it there is better. I could be wrong, but I don't think there are that many cases of cars being smashed into cuz of the dashcam alone. Mainly, that's done cuz there's a bag with like a laptop or tablet in it. But hey, who knows.. Maybe some druggie down on his luck and needs a fix would be willing to take time out to do a smash and grab for the dashcam alone.. Sell for cheap.

Is there any recommendation on dash camera which runs on capacitor rather than battery(since I read that capacitor is a better option) which give similar video performance to the Xiaomi Yi? I don't need any fancy features such as GPS. Just a basic video recording  for front view only which is clear in both day and night.

Is it possible to get one in the range of RM300 and below? Since the Xiaomi Yi which is a decent dashcam is selling at RM128, I was just wondering what are the available dash cameras which run on capacitors and the price range. If it's too expensive I might just consider the Xiaoyi. Thanks.

I checked on internet. For CX5, the cigarette lighter will still be ON even if we off the engine.
*
Nope.. The 2018 G2 CX-5 kills power to the cig port when engine is off.

I tried both the cigarette lighter power source with the a129:

1- The socket under the aircond control: straight away off after engine off

2- The one in the armrest compartment: stay ON after engine off (i'm not sure for how long havent test fully yet)
*
Hmm, never used that port in the armrest compartment.. Will check it out and see..

So you manged to install the A129 rear cam on our hatchback type boot cover? Wires hidden properly and no hindrance opening and closing?

Edit.. Checked the port and power is killed once engine switches off. I consider this normal operation, so you might want to check with SC as to why yours still supplies power even after the engine is switched off and not in ACC mode.

For the rear cam
Its not really hidden. The wire they provide for rear cam is jussstt enough to make it to the rear window so theres 1 small part where I unable to hide the wire but no compromise whatsoever.

Now Im searching for extension wire (Mini B Male to Female) so i can adjust it a bit.

Regarding the cigarette lighter source:
Im gonna try it once again & confirm back.

Thanks!
*
I see.. Not bad, at least you can self install.. Pls do update on your progress. Interested to see how that boot can take a rear cam neatly.
