Man, you guys will never stop harping on this. So now, I'm hoping a Liv player to fail in this case Joseph Michael Allen?
Great, go on keep on throwing accusations in, putting words in my mouth.
My stand is very clear from the start, Joe Allen is not fit to play for Liverpool. None of you including led zep have prove to me, he has what it takes to move Liverpool forward. This is not something I concluded based on a few games, this is based on a long season observations, of course Allen lovers were quick jump on the trigger and bashed me. So far, you all just nitpicking on my posts but lacks substance when it comes to provide factual evidence, that Allen actually suited to play for Liverpool.
Look, you are a loyal fan and I respect your passion and conviction, seriously. But to keep on refuting and denying something that is blatantly obvious?

You were acting the same when Charlie Adam, Henderson, Downing were brought into the club. Almost all of them are no longer in the club.
What does it show?

"Oh it's carloz28 again with his negativity and pessimism that causes these players to underperform"...LOL
Awaiting more essays now and personal attacks.

Note that I mentioned Allen isn't good enough to start at the moment BUT I would like to see him get a couple of games under his belt in his preferred position. Indeed he under-performed for much of last season but I maintain that it's unfair to make a judgement call when he had to play much deeper than he usually does. Yesterday he was quoted as saying he'd like the opportunity to play further up the park and I reckon it's only fair he be given the opportunity to prove us all wrong. Again, I agree he isn't good enough to be in the first 11 at the moment. In terms of evidence, he has always done well for us when he's been played further forward. There were a couple of games last season (can't remember who against) where he came off the bench and almost bagged himself a couple of goals. He's also had a good pre-season playing in the opposition half, thanks largely to the return of Lucas.
In regards to the trio of Brits you mentioned, I would like them to have done well. Downing was one of our more effective players last season which is the reason he was an automatic choice. I never said Adam was a good player. In fact, I didn't think we should have signed him but I did say that he was worth as much as we paid for him i.e. $6.75 million pounds. Henderson is getting better evidently. I've no issues calling a dud, a dud when they have been given sufficient opportunities in their preferred positions e.g. Paul Konchesky and Christian Poulsen.
On the issue of your stance on Allen, you did also say that all British players are crap but failed to note that we have had just as many foreign duds. Also, you've not acknowledged that some of our better performers this season and last have been English. This includes promising talent - Glen Johnson, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Daniel Sturridge, Martin Kelly. Speaking of evidence, I see no conclusive reason why English players are crappier than any of the foreign flops we've signed? I'm not a fan of England but like you, I'd like to see factual evidence as well.
Huh? How did you end up with the conclusion that I accused you of affecting a player's performance? Giving yourself a little too much credit. What I did say is if all fans got on the backs of players when they do under-perform, you'd not hear the Kop sing YNWA after every game, or we would not have heard that rendition of YNWA during half-time in Istanbul. I maintain that unconditional support for players trying their best is a compulsory attribute, but doing so doesn't mean that we cannot call a spade, a spade.
