Post your personal fastest CM run here

curious to see what is the fastest time, mine is 25 min 50 sec ( died burning boss )

before finished main story, i really dont know about CM, coz what im focusing is FATE and after that Class Quest for AF, then finish main stroy...

but when im queue DF for CM, i entered, all people is start running, and at the same time my pc choose that time to crash, luckily when im login again im still at CM, but all people (8-man dungeon if anyone not yet know) already i dont know where and enemies still there (coz speed run), and i run follow them and luckily not attract any enemies.

just before 1st bos, then again my pc decide to crash again(i dont know why my pc, since 1st day playing FFXIV arr, it choose this time to crash twice -.-"), and all people already fighting bos.

then im wondered, why when my pc crushed(so i dc), they really dont care about me, they don wait me? then after finished 1st bos they teleport to i dont know where, so i just run outside and i pulling some monster,and the monster destroying the bazooka? then they start sound me, why dont follow everyone bla2, i really blured at tht time.

then fight last boss, they all go to bazooka and do something and left me again..and beat the bos...

this is the terribel DF exp i ever had..ever...

so after finished main story (luckily ultima weapon i have a pretty good party), i understand, many people looking for CM Speed run to get allagan tomestone.
so i have been paired with THAT people, speed run for allaan tomestone

i dont blame them really, but SE should do something about this, they should pair 1st timer to do dungeon, if u already completed the dungeon, then only u will be paired with people who completed the dungeon. coz this really make bad exp. at least for me.

im definitely going to speed run CM also for allagan tomestone, but i will explain for 1st timer, just a quick tips suffice.

yea i do agree with you but personally i wont duty finder for cm speed run since u might get alot of new comer with cut scene viewing..mostly will form own party of 8 and enter cm

me too..im forming a party for speed run CM/AK now, and at revenant tols many people shout for Speed run, but mybe unlucky me, they already formed a party and missing 1 person, so they choose to just queue for DF and im in, so unlicky me

for all 8 1st timer in 1 dungeon, is not good. Not all people want to go look guide right? How the hell u know to use the bazoka? to turn off the alarm, etc. So, its better to mix 1st timer with all player.

currently is quite hard for 1st timer to use duty finder for cm..during last time before AK fixed for speed run...no body really bother to farm cm for tombs...and usually those 1st timer queue for cm through duty finder wont have issue since all those speed runners are in AK...right now the situation is reverse. before AK was nerf in speed run, u can see how harsh comment for those 1st timer in AK as well especially tanks..

true...but, who is the fiiiirst people beat the game? do they have guide?

trial and error..is the key, so if everyone new, no prob, everyone will trial and error, then they can learn..
mix is ok if they not yet completed the duty, usually people run for the CM again and again because they completed the duty and want to find allagan tomestone.

so yeah, for me, all first timer or first timer and mixed of failed duty is ok

rather than first timer and CM run

maybe lucky u found a CM Run that nice to tell u wat to do, unlike my CM Run party that really dont care for me,they just want enter the instance, if i die from first until end of the duty they really dont care, as long as they can get their allagan tomestone asap

yup, after lvl 50, dunegon lvl 50..many people become harsher..phew..
1st run in AK, 1 player always blame everyone there..then left
2nd one coming, and he blame the dps and tank, i really frustated of all bla2, i just left..

and luckily last night, i managed to get Ifrit weapon for my SMN
and after that im AK run, it's pretty smooth there..everyone is kind..im happy ifrit and AK run last nite :')

yea basically i would recommend any fresh lvl 50 to get ifrit hm weapon 1st before doing anything since the fight is quite easy as long as you know what to do, what to dodge, when to use LB (if you are caster) and tank has to interrupt eruptions

New players should have no business being in Amdapor Keep without having farmed Wanderer's Palace or Castrum Meridianum. Not the first time I've seen groups fail @ Demon Wall because some fella thought its smart to come in with AF1 and GC Level 44 weapon.

The difference between 1 player being new and 1 player being geared is almost 20~25 minutes off the run. So yes, this is good advice. Get an ifrit weapon first.

Do yourself a favour and farm WP/CM so you can pull your own weight. If you're an undergeared DPS doing AK, it is YOUR fault if the run fails.

tbh, im going AK just for GC trial so that i can get promotion then i can buy new gear, like normal DF, i think this is a normal dungeon.

yes i dont read guide or anything coz i want to exp everything in a first place, while sometimes its good to be experience new things once a while, but a bit of guide surely help much.


yup..maybe a bit under-geared me delay the dungeon maybe, but i managed to survive all the time,but surviving but not able to beat the bos asap IS my weakness because undergeared.

i was frustated not because im undergeared, but they keep blaming one another, so i just left them arguing each-other, no teamwork there already
but as i am a new player in MMO generally, really dont know what to expect after main stroy ended


from that point, i change my FC (old FC not really towards end game content so they don give me advice), to new FC, so new advice and farming team was formed.
im good now

imho i dont blame fresh 50 going to AK due to the GC promotion quest really kinda misleading but soon this will be patch in 2.1 when ilevel restriction system being introduce for dungeon.

I did went AK as a fresh 50 with AF armor and level 44 GC weapon, clear it too.

The problem is how AK is introduced as a dungeon, it's introduce as your final GC quest, while Wanderer's Palace is just something you get on the side, so it's understandable that new 50 will go for AK instead because clearing it will let you get lvl 50 GC weapon. In truth they should be going for Wanderer's Palace to get their Darklight weapon instead.

But seriously I've never completed wanderers palace, straight to ifrit and AK

was in DF to complete main quest, got into an FC doing speed run. so clueless...

canon? load missiles? sneaking behind guards? so pening... xD

they are very very nice tho.

well, now im doing it like thousand times, no pening2 anymore, but muntah2 coz repeating same run over an over
sometimes im with my FC, sometimes with someone who shout at the revenant tolls, sometimes just queue in DF
i've meet many playstyle,there is a good one, and a bad one, but i really dont complain, usually i just follow everyone.
im just doing my best to help them to finish the run, give a polite advice/hint from my previous successful runs and let them do their best

there is one girl i met, really cool from queuing DF, she said before run " ok lets do this, everybody have done this, things happen, just suck it and move on"
agreed with her, coz sometimes people blaming each other even though just from a simple thing.


so what keep me running that df with diff people, is their playstyle, we have 1 tank, 1 healer runs, 1 healer, 2 Tank runs, normal complete runs,
speed runs, not very speed runs, never done normal run..but u know u good when u can cope with diff playstyle, that awesome.
maybe coz i really not rush to get my Darklight Armor, so it doesnt really matters what kind of run im doing.

all and all, SE...please, next patch add MORE DF for Tomes, everyone become sick of that 2 DF

I agree with this. Shit happens.

There is usually one guy who will think as if it's the end of the world if someone took aggro from the guards or guard wolf. Also complains that we dont have to do this blah blah blah. Complaining that this PUG dont know anything about speed run.

I only did CM for 10 times and i feel like puking dy.

currently with the content i guess grinding is ur only choice.. patch 2.1 i believe there will be daily quest and currently not sure how does the daily quest reward goes and by that time i guess u will be puking on the daily quest instead. Like WoW, there are certain token or rep for specific daily quest u need to complete in order to obtain gears and i wish that this game won't be like WoW else u will puke even more. Seriously i am ok in grinding CM and AK as it goes just that i hope the damn reserving instance would be shorten down.
