anyone know how to make the Z1 virtual home button disappear (the row) during web browsing? I feel like 5 inch screen become 4.7 inch...

I checked out Z1 at the store yesterday too.

The display quality is actually better than the predecessor Z and that should be good 'enough' for Sony. Even though it may lose to the XZU in viewing angle, it's still Sony's main product for most consumers which are considering a 5" display, not a giant 6.44" display. Comparing the XZU with Z1 is not necessary as one is a huge monster that can't fit in most people's pockets while the other has a compact form factor. Trust me it is not easy to carry the XZU around as I am an XZU owner too.

Some may say the Z1 has larger bezels which are unsightly, but they fail to realize that the Z1 has a WHOPPING 3000 mah battery inside, which has similar capacity to the much larger XZU. So of course the bezels would need to be bigger or it would defy the laws of physics. Among all 5" phones, the Z1 is the battery life king as it is now (if I am not mistaken), and Sony even has it's own Stamina Mode to make things better.

Also, some say that Sony 'should' have used similar-or-better screen quality in the Z1 since they have done so in the XZU and the Z1 is an even newer product - what more with the Z1's launch price being very close to the XZU's launch price even. For this matter, IMHO - it is all about costing. The RnD and material cost for the Z1 camera may not be cheap after all, and Sony needs to to some cost-cutbacks (in the screen maybe?) to be able to set it at a competitive price.

Sony Centre Ikano after alerted by a fellow forumer here I quickly drove there to play play. Nice phone. Need to get rid of my S4 now. The screen colour isn't as vibrant as XZU when I compared them side by side. But it could be just me. Need to get used to it since I'm from Super Amoled camp.

is the bug/hardware defect in HTC one causing this kind of problem. Once the ISO is pushed high, the purple tint happen. Reported the firmware update only control the camera using lower ISO possible to prevent this happen. Is actually hardware defect because user try to change one on one and got better unit

If he din experience anything like this, maybe newer batch, then it would be great, HTC one is really a sexy beast.

what i hate on HTC is the app menu, scrolling down is really annoying. But there is still obvious changes on sense from version to newer version, not bad at all.
