QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Oct 4 2013, 03:06 PM) maybe you should try another unit? seriously the screen flaw on sony is forgivable. but not like htc, they advertise their camera so much, end up with so much bugs and flawed hardware actually after reading about this yellow hue thingy, i check back my acro s with my laptop. indeed the white are more yellow than my laptop screen. but without comparing, i seriously can't tell the screen on my acro s is yellowish...but is this a defect or just that the screen is tuned in a warmer tone as commented by some user here? i further compare to my previous HTC desire s and S2... results... HTC appear most white, acro s yellowish and S2 the worse... appear greenish white to me and then again, i wouldn't notice the yellow hue without side by side comparison |

QUOTE(Stitchie @ Oct 4 2013, 05:21 PM) well, look at the bright side...if the screen still ok, at least still can claim warranty... also, i think if the screen cracked, changing the screen is one of the most expensive parts (if not the most expensive parts) in a smartphone. |

Wta. Anyone with the yellow hue problem tried using the screen adjuster to increase the blue colour of the screen? Does this solve/ reduce the yellow hue?

I hope that the yellow hue issue can be fixed by fw update. I remember when first release XZ also having bad display quality even when viewing straight on. After few update the display vastly improve from initial version.
Well at the man time I guess have to rely on the screen adjuster if the yellow hue is too serious for some unit. |

QUOTE(krosslinez @ Oct 5 2013, 11:25 AM) Just bought one from Sony Center Berjaya Times Square yesterday and they allow me to pick one in their large box and open the seal of Z1 box without pay first and let me check myself through the phone display until I am satisfied. I compare them with my current Xperia Z and the screen is no yellowish. Put the phone test all over then I decide to buy it. Very good experience I buy the phone this time. wow.. now sony center actually allow buyer to open every box and check each one of them??? great! |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Oct 5 2013, 07:29 PM) there's such thing call LTE sim ? never knew there's such a difference because the micro sim i use it in my s3 since last year oct if i still rmb. that time maxis haven't even launch LTE yet but last 2 days after i switched it to my Z1 i can receive LTE connection QUOTE(nerd @ Oct 5 2013, 07:42 PM) I checked with Maxis; my large SIM that I got in late 2011 wasn't LTE compatible. Paid RM25 to change to an LTE-ready micro SIM. if i remember conrrectly benny888 did mentioned that those maxis sim card which is less than 2 years are already LTE-ready. sim which are more than 2 years old needed to be changed to new ones to have LTE working. It seems that Maxis micro SIMs are LTE-ready by default. |
