If you use a lot of Google service, I suggest you not to jump ship. I myself use a lot of Google Current and Youtube.

I can't stand it after using my 920 for 2 days, gotta switch back to iOS/Android  doh.gif

Xirality,

Totally agreed. Lumia is good but it is not suits me well. Sold Galaxy S4 and bought 925. Used it for 2 days and sold it. Buy S4 again.

I have to be very careful deciding a phone next time smile.gif

Been dilemma whether to buy it from storekini or not... Currently using S3 and plan to use lumia as main phone while s3 as secondary.

Has wp8 stop syncing with google account now?

Agreed with Aspire2006. I used to own Nokia Lumia 925 but 4 days using it was the painful experience. Less FB, Twitter and phone usage in those 4 days. Back in 2001, Nokia was my 1st phone. then moved to Symbian OS (still Nokia).

I am quite dissapointed with Windows Phone OS. Listed below are the cons (from my experience). I cant list all as it has tons of limitations.

FB still in beta
Delayed notifications (FB, whatsapp, etc)
No file manager
No album for photos / pictures (all photos are combined in one general place)
Overheating, serious it hasnt been solved yet.
Lacks of apps and games
Most of apps in store are way behind in Android Playstore and IOS

What i like most with high end Nokia WP phones are the build quality, camera and UI smoothness. thats all. Hopefully Nokia / Microsoft will improve these. WP users may argue that they should be given a chance and time.

But hey, this is not 5 years back where android and ios were just started. You should be on par, no matter what. Users spend a lot of money to buy a device that can plete their daily tasks - media, entertainment, business, study.

Please do not blame users why they choose Samsung. RM2399 for Note 2 and RM2499 for Lumia 1020. We will clearly see the sale

I was WP7.5 user also.
Too lack of apps and too much of glitches made me fedup.
Lumia is smooth but doesnt "smart" enough for a smartphone category.
Now Android is much matured and lag is not much issue already.

The most frustated people are the user of Nokia Lumia 900. Used to be a flagship phone but didnt get a chance to be upgraded to WP8 smile.gif

For android Jelly Bean now, it is smooth as butter. So lag is a history. I am waiting WP to be a same level with Android and WP

Haha, sounds like WP is REALLY sucks in its current state and nobody want to buy, probably in worst state than Blackberry in Malaysia. I'm working currently for a huge and very popular site in Malaysia, and here are the statistic of the Top 40 devices for the last one month:

Anyway, I still be getting the Lumia 1020, as it will my first WP. I've been experimenting using different mobile OSes, test driving them as sole device for months, seeing how i can incorporate them in my daily usage and workflow and also able to give an unbiased assessment of the overall experience using the OS . So far, iPhone lasted the longest (more than a year), followed by Blackberry Q10 (been using since launch and still my fav device today despite the specs and the sad app store, BB10 is really a sweet and powerful OS esp the File Manager). I find myself can't keep non-nexus Android longer than 2 months, I just can't stand the inconsistency of UI/UX and thoughtlessness in many details in the OS despite its features.

I intentionally avoiding reading or knowing anything about WP until now so that I can experience it first hand when my yellow submarine arrive in a day or two. Looking at all your feedbacks, I probably will be disappointed big time HAHAHA

Maybe you can share your experience with Lumia 1020 here. Since you love file manager in Q10, so please be patient with Lumia 1020. I dont think MS will put it in an update this year. It took so long and voiced out since WP7.5

The amount of people bashing WP is extraordinary in this thread.
Just because it has a different way of interface and has a learning curve does not mean it has to have the same experience as Android and iOS.
It is suppose to have a different experience and by far a very unique one compared to iOS and Android.
The market share for WP is increasing and the ecosystem for it is getting better.
A lot of popular apps is already on it and if there isn't one there is already a 3rd party doing one for it like Instagram.
I'm loving WP and iOS, but not really into Android, even with Jelly Bean it still sucks and the OS get bloated in a long run.
It's all down to preference and beats me if you like whatever OS lol!
It's all down to you in the end and people's perception and opinion hasn't effect me on choosing what I like.
My thoughts exactly. I am waiting for a price drop as well.
It disappoints me that iPhone is still the same phone since iP4 and that Android only has specs bump here and there.

Since everyone likes Samsung and iPhone that much, I like being a bit unique with my Nokia  tongue.gif

We don't expect a same experience with Android or iOS. But with tons of limitations, how long we are going to wait? Is it 5 years? Not a chance.

Yes I admit the smoothness of the UI as I used to use Lumia 925. My opinion is WP should be as perfect as Android and iOS
