never own a windows phones before, this is my first. love it a lot, i wonder if i have not found the setting, or the function isn't there. the smart cam doesn't have any flash or it doesn't have any exposure setting when the lighting is bad right, music does not have any equalizer or to adjust playback function, there is no way to put your song as ringtone rclxub.gif

Connect your phone to the PC and copy the song file into the ringtone folder. Now can use your songs as ringtones.

That's because Smart Cam is meant to perform a spray and pray capture of multiple images close together as fast as possible, so that's probably why they didn't allow you to set the exposure value since that would most likely chew into the shutter speed.

Smart Cam use 10 frame burst, so don't allow you to meddle the camera settings to avoid affecting the image quality. But i notice it under different light condition it will automatically adjust ISO (till ISO 3200) and shutter speed for the optimum image quality.

AFAIK, X-box music don't had equalizer for you to adjust, but at settings>audio, it allows you to set equalizer for earphone usage.

Ringtone, either connect it to your computer and put mp3 to the ringtone folder on your phone (had time limit/file size limit). Or use Nokia Ringtone Maker (@fantasy1989 had put the link for it at Essential apps section), to rip out the ringtone from the mp3 song (1 minute maximum duration).

bummer, its an auto setting then, no wonder very hard to take indoor picture. well i heard nokia going to merge the two camera apps in the next update..i hope the setting is for the best. its sad they do not have the setting for audio, even playback function is limited, i just cannot skip the audio to any minute i want. rclxub.gif ..

ringtones is very confuse, have to move from pc to ringtone folder...cannot move from music folder to ringtone. anyone encounter soft volume with nokia 1020 compare with nokia 808 or any other lumia?

How fast can you launch the camera app? Can you leave the camera app when you lock the phone, and when you unlock the phone you're back at the camera app ready to capture photo immediately?

One of the good feature of the 808 is the ability to launch camera very quickly by pressing the dedicated camera button, and if the camera app is not closed when the phone it locked, once you unlock the phone, the camera app is ready immediately.

yes, can. the speed.. it is fast, probably not as fast as n808 but you just got the hang of it real quick..the delay time is not really that annoying to me. well, after you have download a lots of camera apps and editor, the delay can be forgiven hehehe wink.gif .

Yes.

Lumia Phone had settings that allow you to immediately wakeup/unlock the phone and open camera apps by holding the camera button for 4sec. It also allows you to set other camera apps (Nokia Pro Cam, for example) as default camera apps when you open camera apps on your phone.

Oh yea, I remember this feature on the L800 last time; used to show off this feature to my friend last time, haha.

The more important is the set the Default Camera App as Default. Thanks for this info~ icon_rolleyes.gif
