QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Mar 2 2014, 01:44 PM) Some Le Tour de Langkawi shots taken with Lumia 1020. http://www.flickr.com/photos/davidletterbo...57641697658794/ Eh how many ISO and setting you use for the dr tour? Looks very sharp.A few things to take note: 1) All shots using 5MP mode. 2) I made a huge mistake. This is the first time I shoot anything under bright sun. Because the lightning was harsh (they were facing the sun's direction) I thought the dynamic range wasn't enough and I tried to recover the shadow area by +0.7EV. Turned out that it's the display screen that wasn't bright enough under the sun. 3) Most of them are PP-ed using Flickr. I don't like L1020's colour (too warm). Still prefer 808PV's colour. |

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Mar 2 2014, 11:24 PM) Under the bright sun...even the lowest ISO is more than enough. Even you select auto ISO, it will choose ISO 100. Wow ISO 100 won't shaking and blur? Mine will get echo when zoom in very detail...By the way just got 1020 and play with it and share to u.. No raw. Just took it and add some effect fotor app... QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Mar 3 2014, 12:09 AM) I tried not to zoom. The supersampling works the best without zooming at all. Wow thanks for sharing... 1/1000 shutter speed!BTW, it all depends on the condition. Those pics were taken under the bright sun. So, ISO100 is enough. Shutter speed also very high (at least 1/1000s!). |

i found that i got a problem... when shooting my superman. First i check the exposure is ev 0. then i set ISO to 100, when i shoot it will blur and double layer because of my hand shaking. leave me no choice when i pull shutter speed to 1/60 my exposure auto choose ev to negative super low -3. why??? can't the ev stay at 0 when i play with shutter speed?

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 3 2014, 09:11 AM) Under sun light always set ev to 0 first and iso to the lowest possible. PICASA is an app?? which one? can show me? Thanks.First thing to remember do not let the phone decide for you, but u decide how you want the phone to work for you. Shutter speed is practically useless to know. Beside you editing with Picasa your photo looks great |

i think mid year or august will come up a new model to replace 1020, even 1020 replaced will drop RM400 only that will be RM1400-1600. It won't drop to 1k. if you need 1020 with 1k price , you need to wait 2015 get AP phone or 2016.

QUOTE(ulwan25 @ Mar 18 2014, 05:39 AM) Yes Nilkin casing... when i bought 1020 that day straight buy that to cover, as i saw many reviews, the 1020 looks premium with hard body, i'm agree with that. However the bad thing is easy to get scratches, even the gorila screen, you need protector too.For temporary nilkin case is good but it cannot cover the corners. Get those casing can cover all.
