Thanks for the heads up! yeah, i concur with your point. It should be placed in the manual control setting at the viewfinder instead being hidden.

weird i dont have that option.... i know im on amber, through setting> extras+info

usually, i'd just pin the store app to my start screen and get notified with any app updates. I'd always update all apps install in my 1020 if there is any.

are u sure? mine hv that 'about' option. probably u hv to scroll thru carefully bcos i myself sometime cant find the option that wish to change even though i know it is there...

I'm not using any screen protector, some minor marks, but basically if you don't trust yourself to do a good job taking care of it then make sure you have one on.

go download sysapp push...u need download the setting update for nokia like touch, display, glance, audio...

i read its the oleophobic sheet that get scratched easily not the glass, the gorrila glass more resistant. unlike xperia z/z1 where you can actually peel off the sheet away (and remove even the SONY logo!), nokia one quite impossible as the sheet and glass are fused together.

So far my screen & body still no scratches
My 2 year old Lumia 800 only have 1 tiny scratches.

Personally I'm more worried bout the camera module than then screen though. But me think as long as your don't put your key in the same compartment as your phone, or drop your phone on concrete floor/road, you'll be fine.

Surface Pro is now selling for 2.7k only. Apart from battery life (or weight)... there's no better combination in current market. My suggestion is to go for a Surface Pro with 2nd gen accessories.

You can't really compared it with Apple as it's not the same category. You should think it more to the line of ultrabook.

Btw, got any free (not pirated) software to do HDR or RAW file editting to recommend since 1020 doesn't have either of those?
