Nov 14th? Wow, that's just around the corner ... hope it's as impressive as MV & 1U and that the parking rates aren't like Pavilion or KLCC sweat.gif

Any mall that isn't central were meant to attract shoppers or window shoppers from within the vicinity. I frequent MV because I live in Cheras. I frequent One Utama because my in-laws stays in Kepong. These 2 malls are my most frequented malls, aside from Publika.

Now I have an excuse to go to ICM every now and then. There are not many other malls that can offer great retail therapy and a variety of food outlets, halal and non-halal. I dislike KLCC & Pavilion mainly because of the cost involved when it comes to parking. Paradigm Mall is ok, but the layout isn't my cup of tea, nor the no of retail outlets.

My next visit will probably be only when District 21 is open, and when GSC opens. Indeed ICM is a mall like a lot of the bigger malls. It is good that bigger malls are now spreading out. It will help to alleviate traffic in those central malls by a minimal margin.

Today was my second visit since first day opening. They have started to collect parking charges since 2/1/15. Weekdays first 3 hours is RM1 followed by RM1 subsequent hour. Weekend is RM3 first 3 hours and RM1 subsequent hour.

Not expensive but not as cheap as 1U or Curve.

District 21 looks fun. RM55 promo sweat.gif Next visit will be when GSC opens.

Serve them right.

And I quote "“It is unfair to us as they should have issued them summonses or warnings instead of taking them away.”

This is the attitude of people who flout the law. They know it is illegal and a crime, then when caught, they claim unfair. Why must give warning? You tak tau meh?

Does a robber who was caught tell the police to give summons or warning instead of catching him? He doesn't know being a robber is a crime?

how about in this scenario. those who run over the traffic light offence. will be handcuffed straight away and send to jail while leaving your car there during roadblock?

What does the law say about running the red light? You're not comparing apple to apple.

A : If you drove a car that is without road tax, JPJ or the police have the right to compound your car because it also means your vehicle is likely to be without insurance. It is a road hazard to other users if the owner has no insurance for the car. They are most likely to give you a summon as well, not arrest you. You can take a bus/taxi home, get your insurance/road tax done, pay your summon, then collect back your car. No fuss.

B : Using the above scenario, it is similar. They would arrest your workers, and possibly give you a summon. They do give you a chance. They did not shut down your business nor did they arrest you. You can NOW go and hire workers with the proper paper work or do the paper work for the workers that were arrested. And pay the summon if any.

The Govt has recently given the opportunity to employers to register their illegal workers. They chose not to do so to save cost. Thus, they deserve what came to them. Arresting the illegal workers was and is the right thing to do.

A : Let's say JPJ let you drive your car, give you a summon, and then you go back and show them you have renewed your road tax and insurance. No problem right? Because they can track you down.

B : Imagine, they let your illegal worker go. What are the likelihood the workers would run elsewhere, never to be found again and ply their trade somewhere else? 99% bye.gif

From the looks of it, you are asking for sympathy, which I have none to give. When I flout the law and get fined for speeding, I don't make sympathy threads asking why was I issued a summon when I was only driving 10 km/h over the limit. I know it was my mistake or my choice for breaking the law. Just bear the consequences lah ... no big deal. I won't defend them.

But that's just me cool2.gif

unfortunately, we get used with them which can help our business in most profitability manner.
This is how people justify doing the things for their own benefit, even though they know it is unlawful. Since you condone doing it the illegal way to justify your means, then obviously there is nothing to debate with you about.
