Isetan supermarket is the best to me. B.I.G and Mercato are pretty good as well. Not familiar with Jaya Grocer. Cold Storage is pretty meh, and Aeon is pure crap. Just my 2 cents. IOI city mall putrajaya

Went there around 3pm yesterday. Have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. High ceiling with wide walkway, feel really spacious. Nothing to really complaint about except the parking area which still have some work to be done.
Aeon Living Index and Home Pro are two of the biggest plus points. This mall also has the best looking Tesco in KV (out of those I've been to) despite smaller in size. ALL the restaurants at lower ground floor are JAM-PACKED starting dinner time. Foresee great success for this mall in the near future. Go check it out yourselves! Oh, for those people who can't get through their day without pork, there are Japanese and Chinese restaurants selling pork and Tesco is selling pork and alcohol. Bee Cheng Hiang is there selling pork jerky. I believe there are more as I didn't check out the menu from most of the restaurants.
However I hope we can put this pork thing to rest once and for all. Thank you very much. |

QUOTE(xin @ Nov 27 2014, 09:13 AM) their opening is crucial, as christmas is coming coupled with school holiday. After that its the new year and chinese new year. Season for shopping, IOI City Mall pick a very strategic time. So glad the mall is doing almost everything right and heading toward the right direction. |

QUOTE(lynforum @ Nov 29 2014, 05:02 PM) Damn crowded indeed. Some shops even with long queues as if the people are lining up for freebies lol. Saw them placed the autopay machines today. Once the opening sales are gone and no more free parking I think the crowd might reduce. |

QUOTE(xin @ Dec 29 2014, 07:00 PM) Other than the 'slightly better than usual Tesco' interior, what exactly is so 'premium' about it? Very limited imported stuffs, fruits also not fresh or even rotten (Kiwi in this case), price basically no difference from the standard Tesco, etc. It is nowhere near Mercato, B.I.G, Isetan, or even Jaya Grocer's level in terms of 'premium'. It is just the usual Tesco with better decoration. That's it.This post has been edited by MakeYouHappy: Dec 29 2014, 10:35 PM |

QUOTE(ManutdGiggs @ Dec 30 2014, 06:56 AM) I'm a fmcg supplier to them. Sales comparison to all other stores showed the performance of it even the kajang one is winner against it. I went there twice tat i din really c lotsa ppl in Q. Maybe just the timing I was there. Seriously? Then I really wonder what the consumers were buying because it's always super crowded whenever I passed by or went into the store (and I go IOI City Mall at least once a week). |

QUOTE(xin @ Dec 30 2014, 09:05 AM) Hmm then what is the reason for the less crowds compared to the other conventional Tesco s' around ? Any ideas ? Have you been there? I usually go to the mall during weekend so that's probably why I always saw a big crowd as opposed to the conventional Tesco which I will usually go after 9-10pm. However based on the crowd that I saw whenever I was there, it's pretty hard to believe their business is not good. |

QUOTE(Tigerr @ Dec 30 2014, 10:55 PM) Isn't that tesco has a standard price for all their outlets? Got different one ar? Later when advertise, need to specify for which outlets lor??? I think it is the same as I didn't notice the price being different from other outlets. I think the so called premium is due to a different concept (marketing gimmick). |
