how about in this scenario. those who run over the traffic light offence. will be handcuffed straight away and send to jail while leaving your car there during roadblock?
What does the law say about running the red light? You're not comparing apple to apple.
A : If you drove a car that is without road tax, JPJ or the police have the right to compound your car because it also means your vehicle is likely to be without insurance. It is a road hazard to other users if the owner has no insurance for the car. They are most likely to give you a summon as well, not arrest you. You can take a bus/taxi home, get your insurance/road tax done, pay your summon, then collect back your car. No fuss.
B : Using the above scenario, it is similar. They would arrest your workers, and possibly give you a summon. They do give you a chance. They did not shut down your business nor did they arrest you. You can NOW go and hire workers with the proper paper work or do the paper work for the workers that were arrested. And pay the summon if any.
The Govt has recently given the opportunity to employers to register their illegal workers. They chose not to do so to save cost. Thus, they deserve what came to them. Arresting the illegal workers was and is the right thing to do.
A : Let's say JPJ let you drive your car, give you a summon, and then you go back and show them you have renewed your road tax and insurance. No problem right? Because they can track you down.
B : Imagine, they let your illegal worker go. What are the likelihood the workers would run elsewhere, never to be found again and ply their trade somewhere else? 99%

From the looks of it, you are asking for sympathy, which I have none to give. When I flout the law and get fined for speeding, I don't make sympathy threads asking why was I issued a summon when I was only driving 10 km/h over the limit. I know it was my mistake or my choice for breaking the law. Just bear the consequences lah ... no big deal. I won't defend them.
But that's just me
