Malaya Shrimp also known as rainbow shrimp, superior algae eater, peaceful and won't eat your dwarf shrimps unlike the lazy Yamato shrimp.
An interesting "feature" of this shrimp is that its coloration is extremely variable. Within the same colony one can see bluish, brownish, yellowish and even reddish shrimp.

Type :Caridina sp. "Malaya" , but won't crossbreed with any Caridina(CRS etc)
http://www.petshrimp.com/malayashrimp.php

http://www.planetinverts.com/malaya_shrimp.html

This is the prefect shrimps to replace the bulky , lazy Yamato minus all negative aspect of yamato shrimp.
~It won't attack others shrimps even shrimplets.
~It won't grab food and run away.
~It won't crossbreed with any known shrimps- i.e CRS, Tiger, Green shrimp & all neocaridina type i.e Fire red, Blue Jelly , Yellow etc.
~It always hungry and just clear out all food debris and most algae(they like staghorn & hair algae and will take on BBA if food is scarce)
~It Not colorless like Yamato, infact it change color due to temperature , Ph and or under threat/stress)(refer picture)
~It give birth to larvae, if have fish/fry in tank they can feed on those larvae. If you want to breed them, you need green water tank (in total freshwater though).
~More hardy then yamato , cherry , comparable with healthy ghost shrimps. (a well cycled tank will do, can survive in ph6++~ph8.2, be logical please don't expect it to survive in ammonia, nitrite leeched tank, even the super-shrimp opae ula can't make it.)
~Price is comparable to Yamato, just abit more or less, cheaper then a fire red though.
~It the only local shrimps well known internationally but absent from local LFS for > 5 yrs.

COD around Cheras Tesco & Subang USJ (Subject to confirmation).
or suggest me any area around cheras or subang that you familiar or nearer to you.
PM me for price if interested. OR text me on WeChat ID: arrowray.
Pls pm or we chat before 8.30am if you wish to cod on same day.

Before _> Staghorn & hair algae manifest on UG.

shrimps will be snack to your arowana , beside 95% arowana tank is bare bottom, nothing much for shrimp to clean and salvage , if your problem is
these brown algae/diatoms on the glass , you can try nerite snail but not sure your arowana will find these snail as food or not.
