Comes down to, do you need that boot? Preve 5" screen right? SS got 7" screen.
IINM, SS got bigger rims. Though if you like comfort, this may be a slight downside. Engine is tuned slightly better. What else SS have over Preve?

Since you cant decide, how about think it based on financial sense? Preve now is cheaper a few k compares to Suprima. That few thousand ringgit can be your maintenance and fuel expenses

Other than the leather and different infotainment system, what else is better than Preve?

its important to get a car based on ur needs. else, u'll regret paying it later.
i got mine bcoz of the 6 airbag, leather seats + trims, 7" android HU (which can be manipulated) + 6speakers, hill assist, parking sensors + reverse camera (very bright even at night), DRL, blue colour, 17" rims, better response CVT, euro style rear headrest and the hatchback.
strong body cage, turbo engine, auto head lamp + wiper are all also in preve..

go for suprima, good looking and dun worry..suprima's boot is also very large.this is not a perodua mind u.

If go for loan then better take preve. Although you loan through bank but with added interest the few thousand ringgit become a huge different. So since you plan to marry after a year, the added boot space may be an added advantage.

My advise for now go for preve 1st as you may still got other commitment such as house loan , after that you go for better car like continental car as I am expecting you to get promote and have better salary

the latest premium variant of preve have covered suprima's exec variant already (with exception of 7" HU, 6 speakers, rims,achilles tyres). 508 litres boot space in preve is a lot, but u still can fit in kids stroller inside suprima too.

i almost buy suprima, but after extreme consideration bought preve for sedan look. (way better after u put in R3 BK imo)

when i offshore normally my dad use it at least it doesnt stay cold for 2 weeks straight haha.

preve.. cannot say satisfied, this car no major issue, but alot small small problems which can be equally frustrating. now whenever i drive above 80km/h, i can smell my engine metal smell.. shit..

My cousins, same age work in this industry, offshore. Matric pointer only 2.6. He work with private international company. 1st pay USD2k/month. His jobs is calculating where to put this oil platform at sea. 1st car, Civic 2.0. That time I have not finished studied yet.

I am very sure you are planning a massive wedding. RM50k difference Civic and SS higher with Preve

What are your priorities when it comes to buying a car? From my point of view, the Suprima's interior will probably not be as impressive as say a Cerato, the City and the likes. If you're more picky about a car's interior material and fitting quality, I suppose it isn't really the best choice.

What it can offer though that most cars around its price range like the Cerato cannot match is probably its handling, and by far I believe. If this is important for you, I'd say look no further. If you can contend with cars that have a relatively average/mediocre handling but better interior fitment and etc, then go for the Cerato.

P/S: Not an owner. I speak based the owners' opinion, feedbacks and others relating to the Suprima. Oh, and the FC? Don't expect it to be good when it comes to city driving. It shines when it comes to highway driving; not so much in stop-start traffic.

Korean cars are not known for pretty FC figures anyway.

Pick Cerato if you mind the Proton badge. Suprima have quality issues ie, rattling, tailgate that is difficult to open, not-so-stellar NVH, poor interior fitment etc....What mitigate these shortcomings is the cost of ownership: not just the price of the car is cheaper, the spare parts are cheaper and better availability, and there are Proton SCs anywhere.

But if you want a nice looking car and don't mind so much on performance and handling, Cerato it is. But, buying either car you will still have to suffer the same question from relatives and friends "WHY U NO BUY VIOSS???" 

Fortunate to have both cars.

Cerato has better interior fit and finish then Suprima. Cerato is for people who like to travel in comfort and win for rear passengers. FC town driving better than Suprima. Outstation about the same. I believe Cerato now comes with 7" screen. Mine still the 4.3". Also the Cerato I bought comes with 3 year free service/oil thingy. SS only now have. My SS does not have that free 3 year service.

Suprima is for people who want to get there fast. Rear passengers will suffer  The 1.8l Cerato is hopeless between 80km-120 km on B-roads (non-highway roads). Hopeless because the max torque at about 5k RPM. There is no way to overtake quickly in the Cerato. You need a huge distance to overtake cause you need to rev the engine to get to 5k RPM. Then when you do get that 5K RPM, your overtaking chances are gone. To make matters worse, the EPS is dull. No road feel. I wasted 30 mins total driving time unable to overtake which is annoying. Arriving 10 mins late (reported by waze is annoying especially since I claw back 30mins with same route using the SS). The turbo in SS is intoxicating. Even better since it comes at 2k RPM and stays there until 4k RPM before dropping a little. Max torque gives you lots of overtaking opportunities with lots of power to spare.

Which am I more satisfied with:
Daily commute-including jams: Cerato or SS. Makes little difference. Rear passengers will prefer Cerato
Outstation driving: SS

Which one more beautiful: SS>Cerato. Particularly rims. The Cerato front end tries to hard at imitating BMWs.
Rear end Cerato is better.

Interior HU: Cerato better. Actually Cerato has different layer bits, but the bits which you touch are the soft touch bits. SS has a good soft touch dashboard, but no use since my hand is not going to touch all the way to the screen. Cerato has better soft touch management. Though one part I hate about the Cerato is the steering wheel. Too big, too hard and the stitching at the lower left and right corners hurts my hands if I grasp tightly especially during cruising.  SS steering is miles better.

Coldest AC: SS is way cooler than Cerato. Cerato is better at temp management. SS seems to think the entire car needs to be the level you set before slowing down the AC. Cold AC is fine with me.

Aside from that I believe Cerato is better than Suprima. It is worth the price difference. Just don't buy it if you like to drive. If you stay at highway place all the time town driving, then it is a good choice. However, since the SS is RM20k cheaper but has slightly worse FC, I got extra 20k of fuel income to play with compared to the Cerato. I'm reserving part of that 20k to upgrade better HU and converting the rear end to twin exhaust...if R3 will come out a kit about it.

Not to be biased whatsoever, but NVH will be SIGNIFICANTLY reduced by foaming the chasis. It cost less than 1.5k for the whole package & can be done within 1-3 hours without voiding the warranty or anything.

It also will provide a firmer, confidences rides too in term of handling.

May I know if you consider that as well?
NVH is something that bugging to too before decided to opt for Suprima S. But upon reading, I found the solution that I just mentioned. That just somehow seal my decision
