Another note, I saw 1 white SS at Jln Ampang few days ago and 1 Silver SS in KB. Slowly more people will buy the car. I also notice a new FoFo, and other faster cars, suddenly slow down match my 130 km speed for half an hour than speed back laugh.gif  So I sometimes turn on the lights just to show the LED rear lights, since I guess that is the best I can show in that condition  laugh.gif

Against a FoFo hatchback at non-toll B road, I will say that the FoFo can beat the the SS at non-toll winding roads. It can keep up, and despite my best intentions to pull away from 60-140 km, the FoFo will beat the SS since it has a bigger engine. The only reason the FoFo (or some other higher performance car/motorbike not pulling away) is to look at the car. So SS owners don't think for once that Accord cannot beat you  laugh.gif  Don't "SS"

It seems that malaysians wanna hear feedback from current SS users like us. Seriously everytime i stop at shop at office or patrol station people ask me about the price and ask me about the performance about current problem that i endure. Im sure that alot of people very interested with this car and i see the increase of SS on the road of kuala terengganu day by day.

The Preve/Suprima's CVT is similiar to DSG in that it also use a clutch. As you probably understand, like a manual car, while waiting for the clutch to close the car will roll backwards.

Auto cars that won't roll backwards use torque converters instead of clutch. For example, the Inspira uses CVT, but uses a torque converter.

Thanks. Putting these on 1st page. These guy went through 8 protons. Must be a huge fan.

Glad I'm not the only one mentioning about the plastics

BTW, what is the homepage wallpaper of your SS? Mine is a Cheetah. The one in the video review (3:48 min) blue screen only. Does the wallpaper mean anything, like different software version have different wallpaper?
*
if u guys being driving accord 2010 2.0 they use almost the same plastic that SS used( on the door)...my friend drove that car this morning and i sat at the back and suddenly i remembered chris wee said about the cheap plastic all over the place...i see this kind of plastic in 130k car in certain area......But SS used plastic almost the hold DashBoard...hehehe...but i think proton should redesign the side panel with more quality plastic rather than cheap one.

HU already have 8 wallpaper u can select which one u like most....i change it everyday nod.gif

I enquired directly to Kristof of Punch Powertrain about the improvements on the VT3. My questions were forwarded to his colleague Fikeri Yusof. the following is the email exchange
There was a couple of intermediate email exchange but due to irrelevance I will omit them here. The next relevant email is below
So as you guys can see the improvements is not only software, but also the mechanical parts. Kudos to the team for answering my questions so thoroughly when other carmakers will probably shrug me off.

Goes to show Proton is not ready to rest on it's achievement with the CFE+CVT powertrain design.

it seems that they look more on the consumers comment and report..now they listen and do rclxms.gif

QUOTE(mat79 @ Nov 8 2013, 01:16 PM)
the bigger the opening grill, the better it will be interm of thermal efficiency. thats the diff between ss n preve at the lower bumper grill. but there will be a downside of it,air drag. well,of course there is the way to counter this by redesingning engine bay, engine design, engine placement and lower floor plan to channel the air smoothly to the rear end to reduce drag coefficient n lift, but it cost associate n normally sports car will use this.

but i like what ford done with active shutter idea. when in the city, the grill is open to help in thermal efficiency, and at speed, when velocity is enough to cool down the engine, the grill is closed to help reducing air drag. it is costly, but not as high as redesingning major part of the car. its brilliant indeed.

by the way, preve is being upgraded its safety pack without increasing the price,as what people complaint earlier, even the exact.

so let see how people responded by translating into sale as some of the complaint being fulfill. or it just talk the talk.

by the way, preve sale in thailand isnt encouraging due to thais policy, only 1.5l engine capacity and below for 1st buyer scheme. thats why ford intro 1.5l fiesta,n prtn only sell 1.3 saga. now, saga also not in good cndition when new policy that 1.2l car being given tax rebate causing price of saga is not cheaper anymore.

dunno whether prtn can ready the 1litre engine for gsc or 2nd option intergrate micro hybrid to gain some incentive. the latter will be more viable n i heard its nearly ready to the market.

what a requirement...huh...seems that they want to outcast proton...why bother accept proton in the first place
