Final Updated Chronology:

QUOTE(~Eveready~ @ May 23 2014, 12:41 PM)
Summary:
May 20 (Tues)
- Car sent to CoSE at 8.20am, called in evening (picked up after several calls to the SA direct line), told me workshop still finding the leakage point, takes time as they need to dismantle the seats & carpets.
- Also told me that they will focus to fix the water leaking issue first before looking at the missing 'O'.
- Promised to call back but never did.

May 21 (Wed)
- Still no call from SA, so I tried to call him several times again.
- Finally got him in the evening, he told me leakage point is found but it's at front side, so they need to dismantle the dashboard in order to access the leakage point and re-seal the leakage point.
- And they only assign one mechanic per car thus he could not advise when can I get my car back.
- Also all replacement cars (RC) already given to other customers, so they cannot get a RC for me as well.

May 22 (Thurs)
- I was busy with works, did not call them. And he did not call me also.

May 23 (Fri)
- I called him at 8.10am, managed to get him during second attempt.
- Leakage is re-seal, in process of installing back the dashboard.
- Promised to call me back if there's any update.
- When asked about the missing 'O', he's not able to answer me.

May 26 (Mon)
- I called the SA several times from 8.15 to 9am, did not pick up.
- Finally he called me back around 9.30am, informing that the dashboard has been installed back.
- But the factory sent the wrong carpet set (Preve one instead of SS) to CoSE, thus he needs to arrange for another delivery from factory.
- So most probably not able to collect today.

May 27 (Tues)
- The SA called me around 9.30am, informing that the car can be collected today after 4pm.
- Collected car at 4.45pm. All carpet has been changed to new one
- However radio, trip meter all being reset already (guess they need to disconnect the battery before dismantling the dashboard).
- SA informed me that the factory will send a new boot lid to replace my car one rather than just the 'O' letter/
- However the part has not arrived, so he will call me once it has been arrived & spray painted.
- Then I will need to go back one more time to get it replaced.
- I pray that the water leakage has been rectified once and for all... shakehead.gif  sweat.gif  doh.gif
- After returning home and as I was putting my coil mats on top of the carpet, I found that one of the anchor seat cover (see picture) was loose.
- It seemed the mechanic had broken it when dismantling the seats. It's quite easy to be broken as it is made of plastic material.
- That means I will have one more part to claim  doh.gif  sweat.gif
So to all SS members, please check if you have any wet carpet, you may have the leakage problem too... sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Yes, I did check the car thoroughly when getting it from Sales Office. Everything was fine back then.

However, I suspect the leakage only start to happen when the car is being driven on a wet road or rainy day in which the water will splash and go through the gap which is not sealed properly, and then the carpet will only start to get wet.

Any tips for the potential new owner?

Your SA should have gone through all items in a checklist WITH YOU when you are collecting your car from the sales office.
That one should be quite sufficient.

The remaining things/items that should be checked, you can find them in this thread. Just go through them.

I'll purchasing mine from vincent818. Hopefully it will be 0% problem within this earliest time.

Looking at vincent818 reputation here, I hope I'd made the right call.

the reason why other member reply like that is because the answer is clearly stated in manual... go read the manual first... I strongly believe that every buyer got the manual together with the car...

as for me, atlantic blue, coz it's uniquely identified as SS... plus preve and SS share some design, and preve didn't come with this colour, so, people know it's SS. but red look fierce... hehe...

Go through the checklist with dealer. Make sure you get the microSD card with the maps. Also make sure radio RDS is working. Buttons working.

Same colour here biggrin.gif

Now, on to the mods:
First, ICE.

Here are the ICE I found which can replace that 7" screen:
Kenwood:
http://www.kenwood.com/my/car/visual_navig...30bt/index.html
http://www.kenwood.com/my/car/visual_navig...33bt/index.html
http://www.kenwood.com/my/car/visual_navig...0wbt/index.html

Has some sort of mirrorlink for android and iphone use.
Does not work with any of the car rear and front sensors.

Same with Sony:
http://www.sony.com.my/product/xav-742

Pioneer has more choices:
http://www.pioneer.my/productList/default....logId=28&Page=1

This is the best one I think:
http://www.pioneer.my/ProductDetail/defaul...7&CatId=2,23,28

Tons of connectivity options
However, does not have front sensor or rear sensor support. Does support rear view camera.

Any more ICE I missed?

So, no ICE system that can truly replicate all the functions of the stock screen yet

As for exterior mods:

I think the one from Theophilus Chin is ok: http://paultan.org/2013/08/19/proton-supri...cial-rendering/

The R3 version is ok, but abit overkill for me: http://paultan.org/2014/02/07/proton-suprima-s-mss-race-car/

From the standard SS:
user posted image

Going for either option above may add more weight to the car, which is kind of hopeless.

Does anyone know what are the functions of the left and right grey angular bits (left and right of the rear fog lamp at the end) Does closing it improve airflow or FC? If I'm not mistaken, Myvi had some sort of cut out at that region for improving FC, however perodua decided to "plug" the holes because the bumper was not structurally strong IMO. Correct if I'm wrong.

I quite like the 8th gen civic rear mod which I think is quite popular. Seen quite a few cars which have this mod. The one where the brake light is at the bottom centre (where the current fog light on the SS is). Then flanked by two exhaust. Does anyone have a picture of that mod? I think if you are serious on modding the car, that is the way to go. I saw one SS picture, I forgot where the person has two rear exhaust but it is below the grey bumper bit. That kind of mod does not look streamline with the body like the 8th gen civic mod. Anyone has that SS picture. However, I do like the rims of that car. If my stock rims are damaged, that is the next rim for me.

Also, need to remember that it is not as simple as just adding dual exhaust without checking properly. That is why most cars with dual exhaust have dummy exhaust sytem anyway.
http://www.exhaustvideos.com/faq/exhaust-system-power-curve/

For those who want to have proper dual exhaust, then this may be a good read:
http://www.exhaustvideos.com/faq/how-to-ca...-diameter/#easy

I think we need to wait for R3 to come out with proper mods. Though if possible I would like a dual exhaust exterior like the civic 8th gen.

I think that is about it. Though if Proton comes out with a better HUD display, something like the Inspira or Cerato, I would not mind changing the stock unit.

Hopefully someone at R3 is reading this post biggrin.gif

^ Finally, a reply I been looking for! Thanks mystvearn for your post!

ICE would be the LAST on my list. The stock and interior is relatively hideous, I know - but its Proton for God sake. I would opt Jazz or Picanto if wanting a better interior laugh.gif

However, regarding the exterior, what's your opinion about this design. Be mind that its only consist of front, left and right, no rear bumper.

I was quoted about RM 1.2k for those. Unfortunately it doesn't come with rear bumper which is a big deal for me.

Front not that big deal. Looks just slightly different. For rm 1.2k a bit too much.
