QUOTE(Xu3r @ May 13 2014, 11:00 PM)
dude your not helping and still tell me sell my car

Whats your problem with me mad.gif

This problem do not exist
Normally there is only a simple sound when i release my brake

Now when i stop and start engine will hear a loud kok sound
*
it's normal... the gear shift lock mechanism... it's happen both when you start or put your car in acc mode and press brake pedal while engine is off to unlock the gear and when turning off your engine to lock the gear... it's the mechanism to prevent from shifting gear from P while engine is off. When gear shift lock mechanism release your gear, the SID will display padlock and gear icon/image with unlocked padlock.

I don't think that if this doesn't happen before, you can simply shift your gear. If it doesn't happen before, that mean you got problem with your SS, gear shift lock mechanism not working, but simply can shift the gear. It is one of the safety measures taken by proton. It's same with gear lock with key for older car, SS automated it and doing it in background. If you can see, there are "shift lock release" hole near the gear console, this to override this mechanism in the event that you got problem with your push start system and battery. Hope this clear your problem.

About the sound when you pump the brake, WHILE your engine turned off, there are 2 sound that SS will produce, one is fuel pump sound, it's sounded like electrical motor. Another one is gear shift lock mechanism. BTW, how long have you been with your SS?

I highly suggest you to fully read and understand the owner's manual first...because, that's the purpose of the proton giving the manual to the owner...to help owner to understand the behaviour of the product that they buy. It's clearly stated in the manual... Frankly speaking, reading the manual is one of the first thing that I do after receiving my SS. If there is anything that I feel abnormal happen to my SS, I will refer manual first, before post and ask other former/prosmac members. Plus, you can self learn it by try to understand the behaviour of your car... observe it, try to understand why your SS behave like that... try to amazed the function offered with your SS.... to be honest, I'm proud as one of the SS owner... even haters keep bashing it...

Regards. biggrin.gif

I think you must be the first one experiencing this problem

QUOTE(hafiz_tahir @ May 7 2014, 07:49 AM)
NO, since you highlight this, will check my SS...
*
I made an appointment to fix the problem (or I thought so) and waited all day in CoSE on Monday (May 12)...arrived at 8.20am and waited until 5.15pm...spent all day there...had lunch in their cafeteria....and only below complaints/items were fixed:

- boot latch changed as I complained it takes few presses on remote control to open it
- changed my front left tyre (as I bumped into a big pot hole & damaged the tyre, tyre cost: RM318 doh.gif cry.gif ) re-do alignment & balancing (labor charges: RM72 mad.gif )
- regarding water leaking issue, they checked the door rubber lining & found no problem.

So around 5.15pm the SA told me to make another appointment to have the car checked at the body shop section and I need to leave my car overnight there as it will take time to run check using water spraying & limited manpower over there. And they will fix the missing 'O' at the same time as they need to order the part and it needs to be paint-sprayed.

Frankly I was quite disappointed for the long wait and in end the water leaking issue were not solved. And during the waiting time, I did check with the SA a few times and each time she just told me nothing been done yet, just keep waiting.

I hope I did not get a lemon product as overall it is quite a good car. But yet again Proton QA/QC could really kill off a good car.

And i also found that the rear left seat floor carpet is also wet (but not as wet as the front left carpet)....I suspect perhaps the water is leaking from underneath (hope I'm wrong)...

It was dry when I got the car 2 months ago, only found out to be wet since like 2 weeks ago. doh.gif sweat.gif

Car storage is always outdoor one la..that's why I don't bother to wash it like weekly...engine & interior parts maintenance & service are much more important than the washing the exterior. I mostly cannot tahan those who covers their car when at home... doh.gif sweat.gif

Bring a book, report, anything to pass the time?

I sometimes just go home after dropping the car. Easier that way.

If I'm first, it will be done before 10 am anyway. Just need to be early biggrin.gif

How come there are different discount for 2013 and 2014. If that's the case might as well take the 2013 discount since all cars is still 2013 stock.

How to verify if it is 2013 or 2014 stock?

Any SA care to explain!!

2013 car you buy now and sell it on 2018 , it will consider a 5yr car ( 2018-2013 = 5yr ) even the car is registered on 2014

2014 car you buy now and sell it on 2018 , it will consider a 4yr car ( 2018-2013 = 4yr )

1yr difference may have some difference on trade in price later , mostly 3-4k like that depend on how old la , if 10yrs old car vs 11yrs old car may difference 1-2k only .
hence , 2013 stock with 5k rebate still worth to get
