good to know the minor issues

Because i am going to buy one just do not know which color to buy

I wanted blue but my mom conplained saying that blue and red looked like a taxi

So she insisted me to buy a white or black since silver is the color of my current car

Some minor problems, that will annoy u just a bit. But not like those conti cars punya problem la..

For me.

1. My brakes are not sensitive, so I dare not speed too fast. I need to push in the brake pedal deeper before the car actually slows down..

2. My radio antenna or something related to the radio is having an issue, like its very hard to maintain a good radio (voice) quality

3. As usual squeaks and rattles

4. When throttle is pressed hard and speeds over 160, there is a burning smell entering the cabin

5. I think my brakes are squeaking recently

6. The boot sometimes very hard to open.

But I believe that most of these problems I have already has its solution at SC.. Will let them know during my 10k KM service later
*
1. I don't think that's a problem. All Preve with EVP also very soft.
4. The smell comes from exhaust gasket etc. You never drove hard enough. I break in my engine daily for first 1000KM, and the smell is totally gone by now.

Hi all,

I plan to get one with genetic silver color. Already test drive last weekend...

Perhaps this question a bit off topic:
My plan is to get a hired purchase car loan around 60kRM for 7 years...do u guys know which banks offer the lowest interest rate currently?

When I press the brake pedal I can hear some air sound.. During the first 1k service they bleed the brakes for me and told me that there was an air bubble inside the brake hose. The next service i am gonna ask them to do it again..

How is the brake feel?
Initial braking is there any bite? Or is the full bite only when pedal is depressed more? Brake fluid levels?

Barely any bite at initial braking.. Can feel its starts to brake after pedal is pressed 20-25% in... Will check the brake fluid level but it is topped up during 1k service

hmm..my initial braking gives a little bit of bite... 20-25% would definitely slow the car down..50% n my wife would be screaming at me.. any other owner to testify?

Hi folks,

New forum user here, but owning a red Suprima S since 11 December 2013.

I chose the Suprima S purely because it's the most affordable car with 6 airbags and top ISOFIX tethers for all 3 back seats. Handling, brakes and other stuff are all important, but many other cars have those, while few cars provide 6 airbags and space for 3 kid carseats within my price range. As far as I know, it's only this one. tongue.gif

I just want to add my feedback from the angle of a child passenger safety-conscious parent.

1. I feel the bottom ISOFIX attachment points are a little too high. To me, the points should ideally be exactly where the seat and the seatback join, but that's just a small preference.

2. When I install my son's carseat in the center (using seatbelt; manual says not to use ISOFIX bottom tethers in center seat), the carseat tilts, because the edge of the Suprima's seat cushion gives way without support on one side of the carseat. I haven't been able to get the carseat installed tightly enough in the center seat that it doesn't tilt, because the seat cushion is strong on one side (middle of the 2-seat cushion), but soft at the edge. For now, I can put my son's carseat on the outer seats, but I'm aiming for three children (I have one now) and so I'm going to have a headache trying to get a carseat or booster that doesn't tilt in the middle of the car eventually...

If anyone has any suggestion to fix this middle seat tilting issue, do let me know. Not an urgent problem, since I can install on the outer seats, but it bugs me greatly because safest position in the car SHOULD be the middle, but due to the softness of the suprima's cushion edge, the safest position in the car is compromised.

Hope my feedback helps other parents out there and I hope Proton takes note for future versions!

Ensure warranty intact should be your first priority especially within 2 years minimum to be safe.

Suprima S comes with 4-security tint anyway..
If you want better then consider upgrade to the same spec from same manufacturer to keep the warranty intact else upgrading to others as you wish.

Why would you want that? rclxub.gif

Anyway, Surpima comes with ecotint which is a decent security tint. All car tints have 99% UV rejection.
