Preve! brows.gif

*hijacking suprima s thread

the latest premium variant of preve have covered suprima's exec variant already (with exception of 7" HU, 6 speakers, rims, achilles tyres). 508 litres boot space in preve is a lot, but u still can fit in kids stroller inside suprima too.

i almost buy suprima, but after extreme consideration bought preve for sedan look. (way better after u put in R3 BK imo) tongue.gif

Oh so u already went thru the same dilemma as me right now? And finally u decided to go with the Preve. What color bro? Your car got lemon unit? Its good or ada rosak2? And how much for BK R3? I plan to put phantom BK once i get the car. Its cheaper, and i like the spoiler. Lol. Eh, did u regret or not for not taking suprima? brows.gif

Lol no lah bro. I mean rm5-7k difference is not very big and significant for long term loan. Mana ada banyak duit. Currently I'm just driving a kelisa. But I need to pass my car to my little sister bcoz  she still studying. Thus here I am thinking of buying a new car.

Im a fresh grad, just started working in oil and gas industry, so the pay is quite ok if not good, so wanna pamper myself a bit with buying a car for myself. Orang muda bro.  biggrin.gif

And yes, one of the reason why i like suprima becoz not so many people using it yet. Very rare car to see on the road even in KL. Even me myself when I see Suprima drive pass thru me,I was like WOW, nice car. Lol.  thumbup.gif

My cousins, same age work in this industry, offshore. Matric pointer only 2.6. He work with private international company. 1st pay USD2k/month. His jobs is calculating where to put this oil platform at sea. 1st car, Civic 2.0. That time I have not finished studied yet.

I am very sure you are planning a massive wedding. RM50k difference Civic and SS higher with Preve laugh.gif

about the warranty part, don't worry, all you need is find a SC that willing to help you to claim the item that u demand,
better go for those proton edar,
if private owned SC, they will try to not claim for you, because anything they claim, if proton reject them, they have to pay it themselves.
my car, rims and absorber all changed, but still able to claim a warped disc rotor

Lol. Your cousin is lucky. And yes, o&g pays quite well compared with other industries, hence comes with the high risk of working environment. sad.gif

Civic is a good car. At first I planned to take Mazda 3, but after thorough consideration, better start with something cheaper, and work my way up. Plus Im still young, so better save money for something else. And no I didnt plan to have massive wedding, Im a simple guy only. Plan to save money for a house. biggrin.gif

In general, seems like Sup S has lesser issues than Preve? Or is it because there are more Preve owners?

I think this comes down to the Proton QC.

1st gen always got problem compared to face lift model. SS is technically a Preve FL plus added goodies.

Omg tested suprima at the autofest. The CVT is quite comparable to City IDSI CVT with addition woosh of torque from 1.7 rpm. My uncle said his preve CVAT is more jerky than city one. Perhaps proton have mod suprima CVT software? surprise with boot size, can swallow my road bike if put down the seats flex.gif

Build quality wise in my opinion is comparable(perhaps better) to current gen city (no other benchmark to compare as city's are the only car that i actually owned and drive). Safety wise proton wins hands down. Handling wise i dont have chance to test as the test drive is only have straight and 3 turn of left's.

anyway, i have no doubt proton have hit the nail with suprima s. Pity public perception on proton is lukewarm... Boooo I just hope the QC in suprima is good in the sense it will last more than 10 years rolleyes.gif

Talked to r3 folks and they told me r3 going release suprima bodykit which are different from Super premium one hmm.gif

The Suprima is the first Proton to debut with VT3+, essentially an improved version of VT3 found in the Preve. The benefit of VT3+ is improvement in Noise, Vibration and Harshness. It is not "jerky" and much much more quieter than VT3.

euro style back seat in ss is comfy than preve one if one seat at the back on a long journey.

vt3+ not only reduce cvt sound n less jerky, the smoothness of also help out to minimize powerloss n give it more linear power transfer plus new tcu n new ecu n tcu calibration.
