today, i would like to give a thumb up to the ONLINE AA flight recovery option that comes in the flight re-time notification email.

able to immediately (link provided) re-select new recovery flight schedule (with blockout dates that are not permissible), submit & print out new itinerary if confirmed by AA OR select the refund option

no need to call up shit like previuosly. thumbup.gif

Believe it is airport tax less admin fee.

So for domestic flight, there is no refund, since airport tax is only RM6.

For international flights, can be quite substantial. For a return ticket to Bangkok, the airport tax amount is RM107. On  my last cancellation, for BKK - KUL sector, my refund came to RM70

If no complications, the refund process is quite fast, about 3 weeks. If there are  complications, say goodbye to your money. I think it is an automated system with no human interface.

Submit via http://www.airasia.com/my/en/e-form.page.

Weighing our hand carry at the counter - really depends on airport and counter staffs. Some do, some don't. Departing from KLIA2, so far I've not been asked to weigh my hand carry when I was traveling with Airasia. I think I remember they tagging my hand carry bag when I flew with Cebu Pacific (also flying from KLIA2). By right, they should weight it to be below 7kg then only tag it.

If I'm not mistaken, cameras, books, tablets, laptops are not included in the hand carry weight. Not sure if this rule differs on different airlines or not.

9kg I'm quite sure no issues la. If you are trying to bring in 15kg on board the plane then maybe la.

normally return AA flight fr shopping destinations, AA will weight HAND-CARRY. etc cabin-size/backpacks not exceeding 7kg.

Ladies handbags. lap-top sling bags/backpack type not included. however,

IF a backpack with only a laptop seperation compartment and the rest area is stuffed by clothes, IT IS considered a backpack, NOT a laptop bag by definition. (it will be weighted to 7 kg limit per hand carry per passenger)

i encountered this in HCM, Bandung. BKK, Macau, SIN
