QUOTE(Cavino @ Oct 8 2013, 09:58 AM) Just a suggestion. 1st gen persona does not have IAFM, so they have way weaker low end torque than current PE. You will tend to tekan minyak a lot for the car to move (much more than newer IAFM PE). Installing an LCP should help a lot in this situation. It might not save FC but anything that improve low end torque for persona is a huge gain in pickup that might translate into FC saving if you don't go heavy footed becoz of improve pickup. I see now, like most of the Persona or PE out there, it seems like the pickup is the no1 concern eh? Personally for newbie, I would not recommend piggyback like EFR until you're more familiar with car performance parts, issue, etc. LCP is a plug and play item. IMO, more of a fire and forget mod vs EFR. ps. like CKdenion suggested, why not clean throttle first. It usually helps a lot in bringing the pickup power back especially if you've never clean before. perhaps I should get a 2010 PE, RM23k. showroom unit, boss punya car. |

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Oct 10 2013, 01:45 PM) Thanks gajah. QUOTE(Cavino @ Oct 10 2013, 02:16 PM) Only for Honda City VTEC 2006. Does not work well, after 60K of Honda mineral. Vibration massively increased, lose of power (sure coz mineral earlier is 30 weighted) and engine stuttering. Switched to 5W30 Fully Sync after that. Recovered and improved greatly in all aspect. Thanks Cavino. The workshops close by doesn't really have the EO(LM) I want and it's best to get it change. The workshop suggested me Idemitsu, "best Japan EO", guess I have to stick with Shell Helix 7 later in SC. |

QUOTE(Holyjolly @ Nov 1 2013, 05:26 PM) I found out that my car butt, got "yiek yiek" sound, comes from suspension i think. it has been occurred at very low mileage long time ago.... just normal as the string working out or got problem? alternatively, send it back to SC to inquire, this is a very common problem on Proton cars, checked the Preve thread, it seems we are not the only one. And yes, the yiek yiek has become a friendly sound, without it I will start thinking the car has problem. |

QUOTE(ckdenion @ Nov 14 2013, 09:04 AM) btw...anyone tried dis before? is that the sequence to reset the ECU? Throttle Body Cleaning and Resetting After cleaning TB, follow steps below to reset TB: 1. Turn your key to ON but do not start. Leave it at this position for about 2 minutes. 2. Turn the key OFF. Then press the gas pedal until it reached the floor. Turn the key to ON (do not start) and wait for about 10 seconds until you hear the tick sound from the throttle body. It will be just a soft sound. 3. Turn OFF the key and release the pedal. Start your engine. --- by the way, I've figured out how to eliminate the nyek nyek/yek yek/cik cik/ngek ngek at the back seat when driving on uneven road. Someone mentioned about the seat and the dated old threads also mentioned the same thing. Basically just get a WD-40, pull out the seats and spray some WD-40 on the "tooth" that secures the seats and you're done. Been 5 days already, no more sound. |

QUOTE(Cavino @ Nov 14 2013, 01:50 PM) A more permanent solution is to wrap a tape ala insulating tape around the contact point. Then slam the seat back. It will last way way longer. to my surprise, the first seat that I took off already had the tape wrapped, turns out the previous owner was annoyed by the sound as well just that the tape now seems to be damaged. |
