Yes, like Fubar mentioned is  the rubber they put in front of the air intake. Cos normal authorise SC never add for me at all. I go to direct Proton Edar SC, they just add without I inform them.
*
Actually what is the purpose to add this? My last service also they added it for me. Improve performance? hmm.gif

Another question:
My gear indicator light at the gear console is gone. At night my gear console is dark. Normally when turn on headlamp, the numbers will light up. Been complaining about this since the 3rd service, but never entertained. Always told me not enough time to take out and check. Until last service, finally they checked for me, and informed me the bulb is burnt, need to change.
Problem is: Bulb x1 = Rm5.++ <- ask me to pay. ok, nvm, only RM5.++. no big deal.
BUT: Labour charge = RM 50.++/ hour x dunno how many hours <- this also ask me to pay!

Is this normal? My car is still under warranty period, and its not as if i made the bulb spoilt. It was spoilt before my 3rd service! Ask me to pay for the bulb, is already stretching the limit, now even the labour fee to change the bulb also have to pay? Correct ka? If correct, then i diam diam bring to change lo... cry.gif

I always pump shell @@, last time pump petron once, but didn't feel any different.

Lol, car memang not selective but me owner selective mah tongue.gif

Anyway, been using shell for sometime but performance wise really sux la. Starting with Caltex now because some people say the petrol is better. How true I dunno la.

Btw, anyone know how much the aircon filter (under the passanger dashboard) cost? Mine one stuck already, thinking to change it instead of cleaning it.

my friend study about petroleum also say shell not good, said esso was the best, but that was during cny meet up last time,I forgot was it this year cny or last year blush.gif

QUOTE(Vort3X @ Sep 26 2013, 10:10 AM)
Have tried Shell, Petronas, Caltex, and Petron on my car.

Shell = slow pickup, but after pickup, quite smooth. engine get hot very fast. Many times my car engine fan turn on after i switch off engine.

Petronas = no comment. only when fuel low, and no other petrol stations in sight.

Petron = Pick up not so good, but better than Shell.

Caltex = My favourite. Makes the engine roar but when pijak minyak, the car "jumps". i like it as i need to keluar busy simpang frequently.  thumbup.gif

but what i found out so far, combination of Caltex + Petronas is actually the best. Less roaring sound, and pick up quite good. but in what proportion, dont ask me. As mentioned above, i only fill petronas when there are no other petrol stations around.  tongue.gif

BHP yet to try... ppl say BHP nt bad also..

how come your car engine fan can turn on after u switch off engine? blink.gif

I have no idea what is that for, based on logic should be block the air intake only. Not sure what else.

You should go to another SC, then ask to change the bulb. I also kena this labour charge before. My even worst, no part need to replace, just ask them to check the sound, end up just 1 Nut have to tighten it up, that also I'm the one let them know where the sound come from. End up charge me labour... mad.gif

Right after I never visit that SC again, went the other SC they didn't charge if under warranty.

Sorry, never open before. Just put double sided tape under the knobs of the air-cond so they will not be so loose and make kring kring kring noises. I still suffer from sand like noise in the air-cond system though, so prolly have to open up the whole dashboard. I think I'll do it when I finally get around to being able to afford soundproofing materials

Could be. And assuming if it sticks for 50000KM, it's still effective in my engine now. My engine is still quiet silent despite high rev often. Maybe it is Ceratec's work.
