No need deal with insurance guy and etc. But of course u need to inform ur insurance and also let them know where u leave ur car to repair. QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Sep 19 2013, 10:54 PM) Soon, it will be left with 1.3 SV and 1.6 SE I hope it is not Persona CVT Then Persona SV will come in to replace the 1.3 Executive at 45k. If your delaer there still have stock for 1.3 Executive and you're keen to it, grab it fast. Same engine, same GB but with better stability and handling. |

QUOTE(shauqimao @ Sep 21 2013, 11:28 AM) Hi i just got my sv last week, i think the car is quite ok for a budget car. I rarely drive above 150 km/h. However i felt the car a bit underpowered, maybe because im used to driving my dads honda. But overall, im satisfied with the sv since im ony a student. Poorfag. you bought the wrong variant.should have test drive 1.6SE then. otherwise 1.3 is equally good. |

IINM the center panel, there are couple of screws ? meaning you can remove the center frame from the dashboard assembly ? can anyone pinpoint the screws location if there is any ? Tried to reach the center left aircond vent from glovebox hole but seems like its not from inside. |

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Sep 21 2013, 11:27 PM) You will be surprised that the gearbox console is the 1st to dismantle, 2nd follow by center console, last only you can take out the center aircond vent. Anyway, are you sure is from aircond vent? I also not sure thats y I plan to try DIY. Give SC do sure "waste my breath" and time I push up (see arrow where I apply the UPWARD force) the aircond vent cover, the rattling sound soften by alot. |

QUOTE(dares @ Sep 21 2013, 11:44 PM) Cheh. SC issue lor. Plus I am enjoying step by step upgrades. Like that only can fully enjoy the upgrades. Why u not yet add FSB RSB? trust me, after you add them you will feel like driving a different car. UO and FS edi done. Next on the block should be VS in order to fully enjoy YAB davidke20 UO contribution. Ytd I stuck at pyramid bridge to mentari, can see my voltage drop to 12V+ But I plan to skip SC edi after 40 km. Wanna see how they change CVT oil only before cabut. Siapa tau ? Is it as simple as for ATF ? |

QUOTE(mat79 @ Sep 21 2013, 11:46 PM) i know this may sound funny, but few reported case on the rattling on cetre dash, actually come from rear view mirror. retrofit or retighten the rear view mirror socket that attach on the front glass, did solve the problem. that is one thing, but of course, the r many other cause if this cant solve the rattling problem. but no harm trying. biggest surprise in my time in this thread but yes like u said, no harm trying. Tmr I will try if I can locate the screw location first |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 21 2013, 11:23 PM) Sorry, I'm damn noob in car. I did with the following comparisons. Its only 5k difference from 1.3 > 1.6. Yes, very close to Persona B line but I figured that 1.6SE is lighter than Persona so it will give me better vroom vroom experience. But I prefer Persona's hydraulic boot and more solid doors. It was a close call to both actually, almost went for the Persona but got attracted by the Saga bodylooks more than Persona. Also not to mention the CVT. Then it was at the same time (End of 2012 - Feb 2013) I knew Persona will be replaced by Preve (at that time dono the name yet). SA confirmed this to me and he also agreed with me that the new Preve will cost some where in btw 65k to 80k because that is the price segment that is missing at that time (with Persona and Waja already gone) after the launch of Inspilah. In the end went for the 1.6SE even though there is no discount from Proton knowing that Persona will be replaced ! Only manage to squeeze 500 from SA own pocket only. |

QUOTE(dares @ Sep 22 2013, 12:00 AM) If the repair cost is less than the NCD discount, of course it will make more sense not to claim but pay for the repairs yourself. I think his is pretty new car ?Depend on the cost to change the door. 2nd year NCD is 200-300 ? So if change door is only around 300-500, I might consider pay my own. Coz if claim dy will got rekod in insurance kompany. Then, in your next renewal there might be an additional clause (I forget the term), saying that if you claim insurance for car repair, the first RM XXX will be borne by owner. |
