I quite agree with you that Walcott is pretty much one dimensional. 

And i agree with you that one effective way to stop him is to play "park the bus"  tactic.  But against big team his speed is very useful.  You seldom see big team play deep defensive line.  We saw thw benefits of having him during Spurs match.

Few years back he was overrated and overhyped. But i don't hear much hype about him lately. Not sure who actually overrate him. He is a good player.  But not a world class and every football fan in the world agree to that.

As the Gunners prepared for their Champions League group phase opener against Marseille, the mood of the Arsenal squad was lifted when newbie Özil was forced to go through the common signing-on ritual that seems to befall most high profile footballers these days.

In front of his new Arsenal peers, a sheepish looking Mesut Özil stood on a chair and belted out a song for his teammates.

Özil’s initiation was snapped by Arsenal youth player Chuba Akpom, who then posted the picture on Instagram.

Unfortunately we cannot tell you what Mesut Özil sung.
