1. Preferred Brand - Dell,Lenovo,Asus
2. Budget - Below RM1800
3. Usage - For medium setting
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 15.6"

I'm interested with this...
Inspiron 15, i5-4200U + AMD HD8670M@RM1699, Ubuntu, 6GB, 750GB(5400rpm), 6-cell; W8SL@RM1899 (new unit, no worries)

A question to ask - Can I have this computer with free-dos? And what is the price?

Hi...
May I noe what's the difference between

3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i3-3217U processor (3M Cache, 1.8 GHz, with UMA)
3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i3-3217U processor (3M Cache, 1.8 GHz, with 1GB Discrete base)

http://www.dell.com/my/p/inspiron-15-3521/...ch&isredir=true

Actually I just wanted to buy the laptop for dota 2 (medium setting w/smoothly)...
hope the cheapest as it can..

I found this on Dell's official website...
It looks like can choose...
I wonder
(with UMA) or
(with 1GB Discrete base)

is better with graphic card AMD Radeon™ HD 7670M with 1GB DDR3 VRAM

to play dota 2...

And is it possible to run dota 2 smoothly?

IINM, both are just the same thing. just the fact the one with 1GB discrete base may be the VRAM.
*
both are the same thing?

then is it mean if I picked
AMD Radeon HD 7670 1GB Ram means that I will
lose the onboard Intel HD Graphics 4000?

Gaming depends on the graphic card , not the processor.
And the AMD HD7670M is fully capable of handling Dota2, which is not very graphic demanding  nod.gif

So i3-3217u 1.8ghz + amd 7670m + 4gb ram is able to play dota 2 w/medium setting smoothly rite?

I tried google and youtube... just always see game test with i3-2xxxm and i3-3xxxm with 630m and 7670m above...

I noe dota 2 is not really demanding on graphics... just afraid i3-3217u is nt able to support it well as it have only 1.8ghz maximum..

dota 2 is not cpu intensive game, so 1.8ghz is not a problem for it. smile.gif

thanks ya... but i google it a lot of people says that dota 2 is quite cpu intensive? I dont really know about this...

so I have 2 problem after tis...
how to know the games is cpu intensive or not?
and
i3-3217u and i5-3317u have very much difference while running dota 2?
i know that 3317u can overclocks but 3217u cannot.
