the MSI GE60/GE70 but they are overbudget.

so, either Lenovo Y510P or Illegear RE-17, your friend's choice.

Get models with i7 quad core, decent GPU, increase to lots of RAM (8GB at least, 16GB if you can), and definitely upgrade with SSD (to avoid all the bottleneck by scratch disc (if you know about Adobe) ).

Asus
N550JV-CN077H, i7-4700HQ + Nvidia GT750M + (1920x1080; IPS matte)@RM3699[2.7kg], 4GB, 1TB, W8, backlit keyboard

www.illegear.com
Illegear RE-15, i5-4200M + Nvidia GTX765M + (1920x1080)@RM3499[2.6kg][Onkyo, SoundBlaster Cinema], 4GB, 500GB(7200rpm), FreeDOS, [CPU Options: i5-4200M - i7-4900MQ]

Prices are RSP, negotiable.

The GE70 should be better since it is much thicker and cools better than the GS70 nod.gif
If you have the budget, upgrade to SSD (can upgrade later on when as well if you cannot at the moment). They are faster, cooler and last longer than conventional harddisk icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks! In term of graphic, is it got any different for 17inch and 15inch? Or the performance doesn't affect by screen size?

Below are the specifications for both the GE60 and GE70/GS70 nod.gif
Apart from the budget GE60, all the other notebooks are powered by an Nvidia GTX765M, so the gaming performance is pretty much similar. And since all of them are FullHD, screen resolution (and size) doesn't matter~

MSI

Hi guys,

Helping my mom buying laptop for her retirement project : writing books.

1. Relieable brand with good warranty
2. Below rm2k, maybe topup rm200 or rm300 hundred max if topup make big differents in overall performance.
3. Mostly writing, internet or some pictures viewing
4. Laptop for writing, hence bigger screen better

Actually I find samsung ativ lite quite fit the requirements.. but after looking at few review kinda need to think for other options..

so for sifus your help are very mush welcome..
