But somehow i feel the laptop a bit laggish especially when starting up  hmm.gif

Yeah, it will be a bit faster if you disable bloatwares that run during startup nod.gif
And the "sluggishness" is because its running on a standard 5400rpm HDD, which is the slowest hmm.gif

Fast - CPU & GPU give the laptop the processing power, but the biggest bottleneck is the slow storage, so spend money to get SSD (128G ~ RM300, 256G ~ RM600) and replace the HDD.
With your budget, the largest screen you can get is 15" (with reasonably powerful spec)

Dell
Inspiron 14R, i7-4500U + Nvidia GT750M (GDDR5) @RM2499[2.32kg], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm), Ubuntu 12.04 , 6 cell; W8SL@RM2699
Inspiron 15R, i7-4500U + AMD HD8850M (GDDR5)@RM2449 [2.32kg], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm), Ubuntu 12.04 , 6 cell; W8SL@RM2649

Lenovo
Y410p, i7-4700MQ + GT750M(GDDR5)@RM2899, 8GB, 1TB, W8, red backlit, 120w psu, swappable ODD, 2 years warranty
Y510p, i7-4700MQ + Nvidia GT750M(GDDR5) + (1920x1080)@RM3099[2.7kg], 8GB, 1TB, W8, red backlit, swappable ODD, 120w psu, 2 yrs

MSI
GE60-2OC, i5-4200M + Nvidia GT750M(GDDR5) + (1920x1080; anti-glare)@RM3099,8GB, 750GB(7200rpm), W8, steel series KB

Prices are RSP, negotiable.

Lots of recent models don't have spare / blank mSATA port. iinm, there is no models that tick all your boxes hmm.gif
Ignore the mSATA, just grab a normal SATA SSD and replace the HDD (128G ~ RM300, 256G ~ RM600).

no-mSATA:
Asus
K46CB-WX060H, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199[2kg], 2GB, 750GB, W8, 4-cell, OD

Toshiba
Satellite L40-AS109Xb/G/W, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199[Onkyo], 4GB, 750GB, 3 years local warranty
Satellite L50-A100X/XW, i5-3230M + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199[Onkyo], 4GB, 750GB, W8SL; 3 years local warranty

with m-SATA:
Asus
S550CB-CJ102H i5-3337U + Nvidia GT740M + 24GB mSATA + 500GB + (1366x768; touch)@RM2499[1.83kg], 4GB, W8
You have to replace the 24GB mSATA SSD if you want to put in larger capacity mSATA SSD for storage (also need to change the setting in BIOS to turn the mSATA from cache to storage).

Prices are RSP, negotiable.

Do you know how to disable the bloatwares ? Cuz i only know how to disable bloatwares on Android hahaha.

So, is there any chance i can make my laptop runs faster ?

Is 5400rpm HDD is bad for designing ? And is there any chance i could upgrade/ make it faster ?

if you have softwares like CCcleaner (for simpleness) you can disable it.

if you are willing to spend a little more penny, you can choose a SSD. icon_rolleyes.gif
the performance of a SSD is you will never forget its fastness.

sure, why not?
just FYI, if you want to hard drive bays, you need to buy a caddy drive for the Z500 but will sacrifice your DVD-RW drive though.
