Hey there guys I just want to ask, what laptop should I buy?
I am going overseas next year, to college, and I want to get some recommendations on what laptop to buy. I don't know if I should concentrate on my studies, and get a non-gaming laptop, or game, and get a gaming laptop.
For gaming, I would like a laptop with discrete graphics, 13-14 inch screen, and has to be light in weight. This laptop will also be used for my college, so I don't want to carry around a heavy laptop.
For studies, I will be getting the MacBook Pro which was just realeased, the 13 inch one.
If you choose game please list some recommendations. If you choose studies, do say.
Budget: RM 5000 and less:)
not sure we offer life style advices here
which country are you going? It could be cheaper to buy overseas (especially US). You also need to think about warranty support if you decide to buy in Malaysia, i.e. need to get models that come with international warranty.
MBP 13"
MacBookPro 13" (Retina Display), i5-4258U + Intel Iris 5100 + 128GB SSD + (2560x1600)@RM4199[1.57kg], 4GB, backlit keyboard, Mac OSX
MacBookPro 13" (Retina Display), i5-4258U + Intel Iris 5100 + 256GB SSD + (2560x1600)@RM4899[1.57kg], 8GB, backlit keyboard, Mac OSX
So whatever software you use in your study can be supported by OSX? If not, you need to learn to use VM or bootcamp (for Windows OS).
13 - 14" gaming laptop that is light?
These are available in Malaysia, but read my comment above.
