QUOTE(sp6068 @ Sep 24 2013, 05:25 PM) Have you tried to zip it? Otherwise it would be best just get a blank dvd and burn them all in it. Not only you save hdd space but also your video in case your hdd kaput. ZIP wont work efficiently with video file, like RMVB/WMV/H264, ect because they are already highly lossy-compressed, ZIP can only compress 5% smaller than original most of the case, or lesser.unless the video was inefficiently compressed by video codec(fast compression or uncompressed). |

Converting large video file into small video file
would certainly reduce the quality though, What is your file format? |

QUOTE(GetMePhones @ Sep 28 2013, 10:58 AM) from what format? most anime subbers know how to compress large files to become smaller with minimum quality loss Ahem, most anime has "flat" surface + less sharp details, that's why they compress better, plus they are using h264 encoder.any other non-anime source need higher bit rate to maintain the quality, else it will look like oil painting slide show. |

'Taken' I don't know from which site my friend downloaded that movie but the quality is amazing being 200MB only |

The movie length? resolution? if that 200mb movie is full length + 1080p, the encoded video must be came from distant future 'Taken' I don't know from which site my friend downloaded that movie but the quality is amazing being 200MB only Unless you've compared with the bluray source, i wouldnt call that 200mb video "amazing" quality. |

It looked good, maybe not blu ray but at a 21-inch monitor..it didn't look bad. Oh well, I'm no expert anyway, maybe my standards on amazing was too low back thenUnless you've compared with the bluray source, i wouldnt call that 200mb video "amazing" quality. |
