Before the description, I would like to show my gratitude beforehand to topazzatech for sponsoring the black sleeves for my project.

and I have to say, the sleeves ROCKSSSSSSS, even I'm to buy it, its still much cheaper than MDPC ! ! unfortunately color choices is limited.

The project began a few months ago, and reached a position that it's 95% complete.

Unfortunately, there is a major leaking after a few days of usage, and I decided to tear down all the parts and re-assemble. To be honest, I find it I dont like how it

looks in just a few days, it is too common and boring, and on top of that, i just love inverted ATX case. After a few days of thoughts, I decided to start from 0, well

not exactly 0, to make more modification, make it more personal. Stock build is just... sucks to me, but dont get me wrong, not saying its bad or whatever

negatively. Its just not my kind of thing. Hence, the Mark II of my Lian Li PCV1010.

First Step of the mod, wash the casing, rip the dust off !

user posted image

Originally, I hate the shiny black of the case, which were powder coated by previous owner. But i realized its really not that bad =D, it look kinda sporty... in some

sense, or just my imagination =D. Tsk Tsk Tsk, THE LIAN LI LABEL ON THE FRONT PANEL OF THE CASING, IS REALLY AN EYESORE ! OFF WITH IT OFF WITH IT,

but not now =(

haha Good luck to both of us then =)

little update ! not a major one. Turning the PC-V-1010 into inverted ATX case! I did it in less than a minute tongue.gif
p/s turning it upside down hahahaha. Below is the picture with the mobo =) Surprisingly, it looks good than before, in my perspective of course.

user posted image

Anyway, off with the HDD cage, and the rollers. Hate the rollers, just not my kind of thing.

user posted image

LOL, the update is minor enough =)

Anyway, currently, I'm working on the fans, and a 240mm radiator make over at the moment, took me a week, almost complete. stay tune for the photos =)

While modding the 120mm fans, and radiator, I also put some time in designing the front plate or face plate. I dont like 5.25 inch bays, so i just get rid of them smile.gif
However, this case does not possess good air flow if the perforated 5.25" bay were to remove, thus, the face plate must be capable of providing sufficient airflow as well, since the rad will be mount in 5.25 " bay. As the name implied, the term "sport" does not mean only striking appearance, but performance as well... so I will not try to skim down performance just for looks (p/s in some occasion i just might laugh.gif )

here's the sketchup

Major Update !

Last and this weeks, I've spending my time mostly in modding fans and 240mm xspc radiator. This post will shows some pictures of the modded fans.
I need only 1 140 mm fans in my rig, however, stock lian li fan is could not blend into the theme, I'll need something more shiny like fans from noiseblocker, shiny but low profile. So to that, I got myself a Xigmatek 140mm black colored fan from lowyat last week =)

user posted image

The modding continue today =) The usual design that I love so much =)

user posted image

Removing the blade, saw and file.

user posted image

Done.

user posted image

Did the same for the other 3 noiseblocker fans.

user posted image

I have some pictures of the radiator as well, gonna post them up once I apply clear coat =)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The silver shiny radiator seems to not fit the rest of the theme, so i painted it black again sigh ~ and sleeved the fans. Consider the top compartment done, left only water cooling stuff ! ! !
