I'm on stock, rooted. I want to remove the root. I've read FP on how to unroot, which requires either Universal Unroot (paid app), or downloading and flashing stock ROM with Odin. My broadband is only 384kbps so flashing is out of the question. Thinking of going to LYP Samsung SC to reflash stock ROM. Will they do it or reject me and mark my phone as rooted?
No red exclamation mark. Device status: Normal Custom Binary Download: No Current Binary: Samsung Official System Status: Official

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Sep 13 2013, 10:44 AM) Most of the time , it's free for software BUT since u r rooted , u might get black listed for your imei . I'm not sure if this is your case so it's up to u to take the risk QUOTE(hightechgadgets8 @ Sep 13 2013, 10:45 AM) go cybercafe download firmware and odin, BTW LYP SC is sensitive on rooted phones Ok seems not worth to take the risk. Will consider downloading or Universal Unroot. Anybody tried it on Note2 before?

QUOTE(joytest @ Sep 13 2013, 10:59 AM) Iinm supersu has an unroot option....the pay app is a con... QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Sep 13 2013, 11:02 AM) Why want to pay for it when u can just dl the firmware and flash using Odin . As mentioned , u can always go cyber to dl but just a reminded , Sammobile uses Hotfiles which is extremely slow as a free user . So your 384kbps might even be more then enough . Even with IDM , i'm getting average of 400kbps most of the time unless it's non peak hours Yes sirs, thank you for the advice!

QUOTE(joytest @ Sep 15 2013, 10:37 AM) Game reviewed, rated very good Reaper Review: An RPG That Truly Understands Mobile Gaming http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/09/14/re...-mobile-gaming/*the last paragraph* This is one of the most enjoyable mobile games I've played. Hexage understands how to do mobile games. A long, in-depth RPG sounds like a good idea, but how often are you going to have an hour to sit down with your phone and make progress in a game like that? You can play Reaper for a few minutes at a time and enjoy every second of it. There's no waiting around for items to be crafted, no hunting in the bushes for herbs, and no walking for extended periods of time just to chat with an NPC. Thanks. Checked it out, screenies look cool. Free to play until level 10. Worth a try. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...t.hexage.reaper

QUOTE(joytest @ Sep 18 2013, 11:15 PM) He's saying new set. That's still the price for a new set. 2nd hand you could probably get for 1k thereabouts, depending on remaining warranty. 1k? I must look harder. Garage Sales sellers mostly posting 1.2k-1.3k

This is a long shot, but: 1) Any of you guys wanna trade your Jelly/TPU case with my black Momax hard case (still looks fairly new)? Lowyat area. 2) Anybody interested to buy a new Nuoku flip case? Still new in package, never used, comes with SP, bought for RM95 last time. http://nuokucase.com/product/showproduct.php?lang=en&id=322

Newbie question here. I have an S3 and Note2 on hand. Since they have the same resolution, they should show the same amount of things, right? But the Note2 shows more things than the S3. Why? Example: In settings, S3 shows up to 'Display', but Note2 shows up to 'Storage' (the item below 'Display'). I thought everything should just be bigger, but not more, under the same resolution?

I noticed gray and white sets' chrome sides are different. Gray's is more gunmetal, white's is more... light. Gray's seem shinier and white's seem duller.
Has anyone tried Helium? Is it reliable? So far have tried backing up from 4.1.2 S3 and restoring to 4.1.2 Note2, seems to work fine. Not sure if it will fail restoring to a different version of Android.
Is there any app to extract the APK installer from an installed app? For unrooted phone.
Thanks.

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Nov 20 2013, 10:43 AM) Flashing custom roms need root access. I thought flashing custom ROM only requires custom recovery, no need root. Yes?
