I have been on TWRP for quite sometime. I have quite a few TWRP backups.
When have the time will like to use Philz just to enjoy bug free flash.

yeah since you have a few backup from TWRP, then guess have to use TWRP for easier no hassle,..

currently i facing a new FC,

sending message to ISP,. directly com.android.phone has stopped,.

DN3 Thread this FC is common. Haizzz... can't wait for v3.1.

Strange my Camera, Google+ & Play Store FC are all gone.
I clear apps cache & data. Maybe this rom need more time to settle down.
Hope no more new FC.

so now i think downloading phoenix rom,.

hopefully this rom will be zero fc/issue,..

you can use dr ketan multi tools,.

change the recovery is so simple there

Go flash. I read there are complains about dpi and other minor issues.
Just flash while waiting for DN3 v3.1.

THIS is why I ran away from TWRP back in my S3 days, it would fail zip flashing sometimes. On the flip side, if you find Philz too outdated for your liking, there's always plain old CWM Touch, which I think is a wee bit better updated and was my recovery of choice back then.

Right now I'm in no rush to flash DN3 so will stick to TWRP simply because it's working ok so far.

That said, edan1979 seems to flash fine with TWRP with no FCs. Maybe we're just doing it wrong?

Not all who uses TWRP to flash will encounter issues. We are the unlucky ones.
Now looking at DR Ketan Multi Tool. Looks tailor made for us but after reading up still
not fully sure how it works yet.
Anybody here can enlighten me?

there touch cwm. but not compile by philz. i post about it some pages back. i test that one last time. also working fine.

btw... what kind of error to send sms to ISP??? what sms to isp did you want to send... can give me example.... wanna try to simulate the condition of error... so i can look at the log.

the dpi error is due to stupidity. tamirda already post that to use the 240 dpi they need to use app setting and set some apps with 320 dpi so it will work. since to make it really work without xposed app setting a lot of modification for too many apps need to be done. and those user dont understand that. they only know change dpi 240... then all go green... duhhhh...

the multi tools is easy to use,.
just flash through install zip
then choose which option u need in every section,.. ( not necessary all section must tick )
after all done select press next at bottom,
it will start do everything u tick for you,

love the EFS backup in img forms,
and those back up too

for example,
i am using celcom 1M sim,

need to send " BROADBAND STATUS" TO 28882 for checking my broadband status/usages,.

then message screen will freeze a few second, then pop up stated com.android.phone has stopped

then the message screen will disappear,

follow by the signal of 3G disappear and return appear in few second,.

those whole process laggy a bit once the com.android.phone FC

ok. i guess i'm the lucky one... nope... cant simulate that problem. its working fine on my n2

btw. Mr. Luong also release his 1.9.0 version with DN3v3 port and 1.9.1 with open N3 port.

Bro Dr Ketan's Multi Tool v5 is preloaded with Philz Recovery?
Meaning to switch i just need to check Philz Recovery ?
I do not have to flash Philz before hand?

dr ketan multi tools... like its name... contain multi recovery option but you need custom recovery for it to work...

any one got try this rom
