Hello there, amateur here, so I've decided to step into the world of DSLR because most of my future projects will definitely require a DSLR, but I dunno what to get. Instead of getting one when I need it, I've decided to get it most probably this or the following month so that I'm able to learn it not in the last minute. I've asked an experienced friend about it, and he recommended me the 650D.

I looked around for other models and discovered the 60D, which is slightly more expensive than the 650D. My friend suggested me to get the 60D or something better when I reach a better level in these stuffs, and better to invest on lenses. So I was thinking, to get the 650D, or to invest on the 60D? Because I was thinking, if I would have to get something better, why not now instead of spending more money later on? Like I said, I'm a total amateur in the DSLR world, my budget is around the price of the 650D to the 60D, if possible, I would love to get one of them.

Like you said "I'm total amateur in the DSLR world". So better get DSLR for beginner level like 650D kit. Learn how to use and control your camera instead of intermediate or Pro DSLR level.

Photo output depend on skills. Not 100% your body camera. After understand how to use, invest on lense or body. That's will worth it.
