I reckon the highest it'll go will be 1999. Anything more than that and people would rather go for the 5S which I reckon will be between 2199 and 2299.
Regardless of the price, Malaysian prices are still amongst the cheapest in the entire world.
I frickin got my 5C in China for 2399

Yeah, it is pretty quiet because there are so few users (I think still less than 5).
In a way I find it great that there are lesser users as it doesn't make the 5C so mainstream.
Besides, if there are any questions you have regarding iOS you can ask me. I know my way around iOS quite well

Regarding the 2nd hand market, I believe pricing for used 5Cs will probably be alike the current iPhone 5.
That is around RM1550-1650. We'll have to wait and see.

But oh well, small matter.

And yes of course, you should definitely wait as you'll probably only be paying an additional RM100-200. Not RM1,000.
Would still suggest you to wait for the official launch than take someone else's word.

I prefer simple casings. In fact most of the time I don't use casings even when I have them.

Even if I plan to sell my 5C it would be around 1.6k
