Anyone know any money changer counter that offers the best rate? Exchanging RM to Euro. So far, best price I've got is RM4.38=Euro 1.

edit: additional tip ... that 2 in the centre is usually very long que ... if you go towards mcd side ... opposite mcd there is a bookshop with money changer inside ... the rate "should" be the same as the 2 outside ... well 10 out of 10 times it's the same for me ... you compare .. not many people know about here ... no que

Board rate is the same, But if u change large amount then they give you a under table rate

Note that need change a minimum of 1k .

Under table rate is like -0.05 of board rate

Yeah, nowadays, usually no discount if the money changer is popular.
They are just raking it in.

And they usually say "it's almost my cost price" <--- a standard "excuse" which I've discovered is not really true. I'm not sure if I can straight up call it a lie.

BTW nowadays have to fill up form if changing more than RM3K I think.

I always go to MidValley megamall whenever I want to exchange my ringgits but recently I’ve come across a mobile app called Currenseek. It shows you all money changers and banks on a map with rates that seems updated daily. As it’s a location-based app, it can detect your current location and show you the nearest banks/money changers with the most competitive rates. Haven’t given it a real try yet though as I don’t need to exchange ringgits right now but it's worth giving it a try as it shows how much you can end up saving/losing if you take a trip to MidValley or elsewhere. You check out the app here http://currenseek.com/. If anyone here have used the app before, please share the experience with the rest. Thanks icon_rolleyes.gif
