Scholar is fun to play

The reason why i choose ARC as first class is because i can be SMN and SCH at the same time. Main quest/solo=SMN, Duty =SCH.

SCH needs micro-managing to be efficient. At times, SCH can even DPS and let fairy do the healing.

Progression to Turn 2 this week.

Our PLD will deal with second silence while I'm on the first. Sadly our BLM will be useless on turn 2 because we're going with the 1356 strat due to our composition.

Don't think we have a choice at the moment. Composition as usual. Will have to give it a looksie and adjust from there.

Think the biggest hurdle will be convincing the DRG/MNKs to level alts.

Is a maurader a tank class ? Or a DPS ?

Coz I play maurader class. so that I don't have to worry about tanking.
But it turns out I been doing that since the first duty

Before this I actually read a review saying that maurader and warrior are not a tanker

I've checked a few times that 1st hit doesnt neccessary gurantee will get item.
There's a few time i use dot for instant cast to claim mob.
Mob's name was in red indicating that it's claimed by me.
Another player kill my claim mob in less than 2 hit before my stone2 could land.
I didnt receive any loot. This happen few times.

Prelim tests suggest that our group composition is perfectly fine with 1 PLD 1 BRD on Silence duty. Scholar suggested using Selene for the fight, so we'll test that on Sunday but her silence is iffy.

Another group on reddit has just cleared Turn 4 with no doubles on any job so this bodes well.

Titan is actually very manageable. Its kinda like garuda all over again. A lot of people are not spending the time to learn the fight and hoping to "wing" it. Its very frustrating when u see dps dropping on the final phase. I is not pleased. They should not be getting any hits apart from stomps.

let's hope not during peak hours maintenance....
I really hate they do that.
They're so many times they can do maintenance at.
Even during morning or noon time.
But why they like to do it during evening.
Where players are going home from work for entertainment. Which is plain silly. This is the timeframe which applies to all asians too.

checked FFXIV official forum is Oct 1st 0700-0900 GMT
which means 1500-1700 GMT+8
just nice after work can play

Most asians are in japan server. Japan server should be operating in Japan. Unless u telling me that they are remoting through teamviewer to maintain japan server from NA or Europe.
5-7pm consider primetime to Japanese. Japan is 1hr ahead of us. Consider the fact that 5-7pm in our time is already 6-8pm their side.
Unless we are speaking of over 1000 or above numbers in your FC operating at after 7:30pm.
But even after maintenance don't expect that everything operating as smooth as butter.
From our past experience, u'll have at least an hour or more downtime right after server went back up.
It's inevitable that us players have to went through the 1017 ceremony when server went backup.
This will persist for an hour or worst u'll never get a chances into the server for that day.
