Hi guys. I just got my hand on this game a few days ago, getting familiar with the game system. I have some questions about the game.

1. How many sub classes can we have for the main?

2. I read about the cross skills that we get from the subs. Its limited to 5 skills for our main, correct me if im wrong. Does the skills like permanent once we choose or we can re-equip and change the 5 slots through time?

3. Im torned between choosing the path for BLM and WHM. Can WHM solo lvlg or the magic skills like the stone or wind wont be good if in case I wanna solo lvlg in the future?

Thanks in advance guys. Sorry for asking too many questions >.<

1) I'm going to assume you mean classes you can have under a job? In that case, there's not many option. Every job has a class requirement (paladin requires gladiator + conjurer for example) and the skills you get from cross-class are limited instead of between all classes. Not sure about the whole deal, I hadn't paid any attention to it.

2) You can change them whenever you want.

3) No idea. Not that informed about magic classes. Go with your guts, I guess, since you can pretty much max out all class on a single character. I started out with gladiator and changed to lancer midway because I felt gladiator didn't have enough offensive skill, since it's a tank.

Blargh. I got the NA version and they don't have game cards. And the billing seems confusing. 9.99 for account, 3.00 for each character and so on @_@

You can buy it with paypal if you don't want to use your cc. But you need to enable it first by putting in NA address in the account

It's sunday. It's evening. Also morning and noon for the western regions that their server ends up full and they flood over to the JP servers. Weekends are the one time every week when people are online at the same time all around the globe. There's a reason why DDOS is considered an attack, because massive amount of active connection to a server at the same time can crash it. Unless you've developed the technology that makes DDOS attack redundant, which in turn allows any server to withstand massive concurrent connection, then you're just as incompetent as the company that you claim using their profits for private leisure.

Also, slavery is illegal, so it's a safe bet that they hired their employees instead of enslaving underage kids to work for them. That means, they need to pay the employee every two weeks for every hour they work. And guess where they get the money from?

So for the first 5 days, it's free. But is there a limit? Say, you transfer to one server for your friend but turns out your friend moved to your old server, can you move back within that 5 days?

o_O" why wont you just coordinate properly with your friend.. you have 5 days to do so.. or well before that.. like discuss now.. @_@
*
It's an example. There's also other reason to transfer and move back. Name change. Move to a server with a character with the same name, get prompted to change name, then move back =D

I also find it's kind of vague by that 5 days free limitation term.

Means within 5 days , we can tour through every single FF14 server on the list ?
I'm very tempted to transfer my character to another world and come back.
Just because i want to rename my character.
But the whole chunk of risk was listed there. Which makes me pull back.
Gil limitation also not explained clearly.
And.. this might be a one way ticket trip too lol..
*
Yeah. If it's no-limit for five days, I'd go nuts just to change my name. The gil part doesn't bother me, I only got 50k anyway, ain't gonna get lower than that ;D

most of us here learn by ourselves, google can be great help also.

and getting registration done has nothing to do with whether you are familiar with FF or not.
*
How can you learn by yourself when stuff you learn were written by others? Even in-game tips were written by a person. Stuff on google? Written by others. Asking is a learning process, if you don't want to answer, then don't discourage people from asking.

More about Inquiry-based learning

i was reading forum and the box regarding the registration thinggy. i'm usually play on steam. and steam registration is never be THIS hard. and this is my first time i purchase physical dvd also  blush.gif

Nothing is this hard. It is confusing, with so many different sites for so many different things. Signed up for beta on another site, registered the EA codes in another, register the game in other site, buy crysta in another site. Granted, they're owned by the same company, and sometimes, the links to other sites are linked in one section or the other in one of the sites. They want one account to have multiple service account for multiple games, which is great, since we'll just need 1 username and 1 password. But they have issues with having one site for everything it seems. They layout used to be confusing that hundreds of people ended up registering it wrong, and they admit the layout sucks when they removed the buttons that was responsible for it.

All in all, keep asking when you're not sure or confused, not worth losing money or time over a mistake that could've been avoided if you had asked anyone.

Archer is the ONLY class where I can kill 8 mobs consecutively without taking a single hit. Kiting ftw.

Sharing an account is against the ToS. If you logged in from the same place, maybe they can't tell that you're sharing.

Entry level subscription, the cheapest one, limits you to 1 character per server, while standards allows you to have multiple characters per server.

He already said one plays from 8am to 8pm and the other players from 8pm to 8am. No overlaps, then they can.

My fate experience, usually I bumped into boss fates and the first one there. I'm a lancer/dragoon so I just dps, I put my chocobo on healer mode and start poking the bosses until people arrive. Most of the times, anyone with healing skills would heal me, mainly there's not much people, no crowds, no rush, they can think properly and KNOW that they WILL die if I die. But if there's a crowd, you have less chance for being healed, especially if they're in full fate party, in which case they will focus on their own tanks and let other tanks die so those other tanks can stop hogging the boss. Doesn't make sense since all you need is to deal enough damage.
