Need advice on this matter.
my back tyre (both side) having crack from last 4 month.
now it get more worse.

Tyre age: 2 years old (stock)
Tyre type: Conti sport contact 1
Usage: this last 4 month traveling frequently JB-KL-JB
Car: Neo cps

need advice on this problems.
also why it happened at back tyre only

Well, if you ran it longer it probably just might. Best is to replace the tyres. Side wall cannot be repaired.

please stop driving and change the tire asap...you mention 2 years, but how many km have you done in 2 years?

around 55k. i kind of ignore it till this morning.
just yesterday travelling from kl with heavy foot drive
any idea why only happened at back tyre??

55k and 2 years...you are very overdue for a tire change fren. It could have happened on any tire, just so happen on that tire first...soon all will crack.

please change for your safety and the safety of other road users. If you were to take a corner fast, that tire can burst and come off the rim

any suggestion on tyre?
i think to change to yokohama C drive.

Dude, seriously, get it change immediately. You're driving on a timebomb.

Good suggestions would be:
- Conti MC5,
- GSD5
- Assurance TripleMax (some friends said it was nice)

You'll want something as quiet as your current Contis too.

Well, if you're a town driver, lighter rims will help, whether its the same size or smaller. Of course, smaller = cheaper

just change new rubber, 2 only. later this month another 2 (back).
MC5 195/50/16 RM295 each (December 2012 rubber).
JB tyre price quite different from klang.
but now hati senang mau drive

continue running and this happen.

Lucky it didn't happen to me as i always on heavy foot on highway.
just 2 weeks ago ride to cameron highland. (tapah road)

but still curious on why this crack only happened at rear tyre?
all 4 rubber were stock with car and same manufacturing date.
logicically, this crack should appeared at front tyre first due to more axial movement.
or maybe chamber setting @ alignment can can create this?

note you, that tire is my rear left tire.
and the tire is fully punctured, the side wall look like that because the rim sat on it(luckily) and ran for few minutes only.

this is my first and last time using silverstone tires

how old your silverstone when this happen?
and what your speed when it blow?

its a 2011 tire. manufacture date is XX11 forget the front 2 number. i think its 04 or 05 some where there.

it was punctured earlier morning. when im on the highway, a kind motorist told me about it, didnt even notice the puncture, there's no sound

lucky it not blow at high speed.
that the fear factor for me..
but really rear tyre very hard to detect if it's flat.
ones my rear tyre get blow (hitting curb) resulting koyak at tyre and still drive 1KM till reach office.
