Guys, if i bring xperia Z to sony warranty service, can i claim warranty using original receipt without warranty card?

If i am not mistaken, sony does not accept warranty if the card is lost

is it based on your assumption or your experience?
because i am also assuming the same thing but in my experience last time, stupid things just happen.
and some shop also telling me the same warning.
thats why i m just asking for confirmation, just in case if Sony do a stupid thing

worst now dunno what phone to buy, z1 no too big, g2 no local warranty, note (just sold cause too big), k900 to big, zr no lte, zl weak battery ....... hhahaha think forbia on buying new phone ....
