Congrats on V9  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

My Z battery stat was sometime wrong sometime accurate, the phone shut down while i was socializing with it even there still 30% battery life. Sometime it shut down at 14% battery life. When try to on again totally dead and need recharge. My Z always giving a wrong battery percentage. Anyone any idea?

There was once my Z read my battery wrongly after I flash some firmware.
After reflash with the same firmware, battery % return to normal again.

Read from somewhere this is a bug in battery level reading, caused by Android.
Maybe try reset factory, or even use flashtool to reflash firmware?

I did installed this Launcher
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368506

and found two issues: -
1) Volume Sound Speaker very low compare to Stock Launcher
2) Battery Status are showing irregularity. With Stamina Mode is shows only 3 days standby even with full charge battery, before that it shows 6-8 days standby.

My solution : -
1st Uninstall the Xperia Launcher last two days ago. Still the same
2nd option I took is Factory Reset.. Which I did yesterday evening. Noticed that the Volume are back as it should be and I am monitoring the Battery Life..Now it shows 7 days standby. Bit weird I guess as I did not see anyone raise this issue in XDA site.

I think the estimated battery life is calculated based on your activity.
There was a time I play with my phone quite heavily for few days, the estimated battery life became shorter.
And after that week, the estimated battery life became longer (increase every week).

So I guess it kinda learn your phone usage behavior and "agak-agak" the stamina mode estimated battery life with that usage.
There was some user in XDA also claimed that their estimated battery life calculation stucked, and then they delete data of Stamina Mode apps, it reset the estimated battery life.

Sad, my Z back cover coming out a little bit after I drop few times.
Have to heat the back cover and use binder clip to force glue back.
Hope it will be fine still after few days.

wah means not really safe
cause i think it is hard to break

Well...yesterday I used 3 binder clip to clip on xperia z (cause the back glass come out a bit after I drop it 4-5 times).
Glass still looks ok. So I personally think it is durable for daily usage unless you keep dropping it. tongue.gif

Nothing really unbreakable right.

well, i hope for some battery improvement for .74 update or reduce the battery usage for most apps which allow the battery to last longer.

Anyway, how long u guys XZ phone will last? Mine, not even last for a day, with wifi on and stamina mode on, play games about 10mins for 4-6times a day and wechat/whatsapp abit.
*
Hmm that sounds bit short.
Mine can last about 1 and half day, wifi on, watch TV shows for about 2 hours, whatsapp, 9gag browsing several times.
What games you play btw? Some games (well, most of them) are heavy battery drainer.

Wowww, envy with yours! u opened and used quite alot of apps stil it lasted for 1day n a half? >.<
Hmmmm, mine i only play 1 game, from LINE - Pokopang.. thats all with abit wechat and whatsapp only yet it only lasted for like 20hours ++ only.. even if i swipe my screen to touch n checking only also drained quite fast battery
*
Well another thing I noticed that will affect battery drain is WiFi.
But it is not about phone Wifi, is the wifi station.
If wifi station is not stable, your phone will keep connect and reconnect and scan and etc.
But not only Z will affected, my friends' phone also facing the same problem,
end up I setup a hotspot from lan cable.

EDIT: You can use BetterBatteryStats app to check which app/stuff draining your battery.

Turning on the stamina mode doesn't disable the notification light. not with my XZL though. hmm.gif

There was a bug in early firmware that causing notification light not working when stamina mode is turned on.
It should be fixed on updated firmware.
