Rooting will effect the warranty unless u know the steps how to unroot it back then there should be no problem.

If you got ghost in Sony Warranty center then u root also no effect cause ur friend can help u up if there is any problem happen after u root.

Like me i got people in HTC Warranty department so eventhough i root the device and i don`t know how to put it back to original state when have problem then i pass it to my friend and he settle for me XD.

finally.. got my XZL back from service center yesterday. but the technician not reassembled my phone properly. there's a slight gap between the back part and the phone near the earphone jack..

Bro are u using stock software? I used my XZL for a couple of days now, but my battery life is very sucky. around 2pm its already 50% ..only auto syncing emails n whatsapp..maybe it needs a few days of running in, i dunno.. i reaallly hope it would get better tho.. n i dun really expert in tweaking android, since im coming from BB..

no.. i just saw u complain about battery life.. if u want longer battery life, indeed u must go for tablets or pc then.. no smartphone can serve ur needs like 10 hours screen on time..

SP is optional but best if u have laa.but don't peel the existing shatter-proof protector as it will void warranty (also u will lose SONY logo!)

I want to know what is the purpose of flashing kernel only firmware.

There is a last step in installing custom ROM where I should flash to a kernel only ROM, what does it actually do?

both ZL/ZR got camera shutter button...can quick launch also to do certain stuff like record right away / launch in video mode / launch in camera mode...
