Hi peeps! I have two issues which I would like to clarify in regards to my Xperia Z.

Firstly, the battery drains from 100% to 12% within 7 hours of normal usage. My mobile date is always kept off and only turned on when I intermittently check my Facebook. Brightness is set at lowest. GPS & Wifi is off too. Just want to know if this is normal since my last Xperia S could last at least a good 12hours.

Secondly, the camera image quality. No doubt the sensor on the Xperia Z is decent, but the image quality is appalling. It is grainy and full of noise even under optimal light condition, regardless of whether it's shot in 9MP or 12MP. Truth be told, it is worse than the images captured on my old Xperia S. I updated my Xperia Z to the latest firmware using PC companion. It's now running on Android 4.2.2 with a build number of 10.31.A.2.67. This's foolish but I'm disappointed that my brother's S4 camera can actually perform better than my Z.

Nonetheless, the killer design on the white Xperia Z and the ability to dunk it under water now and then is the reason why I still love it smile.gif

Hi peeps! This is an example of a photo I took on my XZ.
I use Superior mode all the time (9MP):

There are lots of noise and I wonder what camera mode should I be using to get better image quality.
Thanks in advance! notworthy.gif

Best photo quality is use normal mode. Set the settings from ISO (night,400-800), white balance (daylight all the time), Exposure level and Metering (center mostly). Adjust to ur preferred acceptable level.. Superior auto will capture indoor photo up to high ISO, and cause it a lot of noise.. U can check ur photo see.. i guess ISO of your photo around 640.
i try post 2 example at bottom. Sorry, 5MP quality.. forget to set higher.. Orange lighting is Normal mode, Brighter is Scene Night mode.

ISO play very much important at indoor and low light there.. lower = less noise. higher more grainy quality.

Indoor - ISO 200 - 400. Night (400-800). U will look dark in preview there. its ok. Focus set multifocus or single focus.
Thanks, by setting the iso lower, my photos are less noisy nw smile.gif

See my this 2 thread picture taken by XZ 13MP Normal :-

1. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2991487&hl=
2. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2991501&hl=

I can say the picture still not as good as what i expected because i am using DSLR but as a phone camera that`s abit good already + i am not pro in phone camera settings so ended up picture in my thread still got reflection, abit of blur and the clarity of sharpness not there.

For me normal item for lowyat sales i snap snap using XZ upload photobucket then open thread.

Outside i din`t use XZ and i use my Canon 650D to snap picture becuz i want clear pic, with nice contrast, brightness and less noise or particularly no noise.

Thanks bro! For best result I think I should invest in a good DSLR/MILC for my vacation photos smile.gif

REMINDER: Make sure the cover flaps are all closed tightly before you dip it into water. If not water will get into it and voids your warranty.
Your XZ is original or AP? Price so cheap
*
Wow if original can get that price would be awesome!
Anyways for AP lowest I found was 1549.

Ap set. 1599 not good?

Plus I dunno get AP or ori XZ because I can get ori but a little more expensive but I think they can help me if my phone water problem?
*
I would suggest Ori for better warranty coverage. As for water damage, I don't think that Sony Malaysia will cover that though.

Yes! For mine it is not exactly clicky kind of sound but more like a soft "duk" smile.gif
